  15. 15. Community of Practice A community of practice (CoP) is ... a group of people who share a craft and/or a profession. The group can evolve naturally because of the members common interest in a particular domain or area, or it can be created specifically with the goal of gaining knowledge related to their field. It is through the process of sharing information and experiences with the group that the members learn from each other, and have an opportunity to develop themselves personally and professionally.   17. 17. The IWMW CoP ~136 plenary speakers at IWMW events. Apart from organisers most have spoken once. 1 2 3 4 ~190 workshop facilitators at IWMW events. Majority have facilitated a 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 single session There has been ~100 hours of plenary talks and 380+ hours of parallel sessions for over 2,500 delegates at 16 IWMW events.17 A centre of expertise in digital information management
