1. To make the background I
used a blue and white
background colour gradient.
After using the magnetic
lasso tool to cut out my
main image I then put this
on top of the background.

2. I used two different
fonts for the masthead
and then got a logo
from Preston Manor
High School website
and cropped the text
from underneath it in a
new layer and then
pasted this to
incorporate this into
the masthead.
I stuck with the blue
colour scheme with the
font of the masthead
to keep the page
looking consistant.

3. I then copied a bar code
from google images and
pasted this into the
bottom right hand corner.
I then started to write the
main cover lines in one
font but then changed
my mind and chose a
different font.

4. This is the finished front cover
with the new font I decided to
use and on the main cover lines
and the additional cover lines I
stuck with a black, red and
orange colour scheme.
I also added an issue month in
the bottom left hand corner.

5. I started the contents page with
the idea to stick to the same
colour scheme as the front cover
so I used the same blue and white
gradient on the background.
I then used the same font and
colour for the masthead
‘Contents’.

6. I moved the masthead to the bottom of
the page but left it at a bigger font than
the rest of the text to illustrate what
exactly the page entails.
I then split the page into two sections: On
the front cover and other features
creating a page that the reader will find
easier to navigate around.
I stuck with the orange and red colours
that were previously seen in the front
cover.

7. This is the finished contents page for
the school magazine.
Here I also incorporated the colour
scheme into frames for the additional
images on the right hand side of the
page.

listed in this contents page.
