This document outlines the agenda for an Internet Freedom Jam workshop in 2012. The goal is to explore what a fair, free and open Internet might look like in 2025 and identify actions needed to achieve that vision. Using a "backcasting" methodology, participants will imagine it is 2050 and their Internet access is a World Heritage protected by design for human rights compatibility. In small groups, they will develop short stories set in 2025 about a defining event that helped ensure an open Internet, discussing the key factors and issues that enabled this development. After sharing their stories, participants will discuss actions needed between 2012-2025 to help bring about their envisioned futures. The workshop aims to spark ongoing conversation around Internet freedom.
