Dear Parents and Guardians,
We will be having four parties this year that you can help with: Halloween,
Winter, Valentine’s Day, and End of the Year. Parents are always welcome at
all classroom parties and events; however, arrangements for siblings should be
made. This is a special day for your first or second grader.
To make it fair, I have randomly selected each family to help with one of the
four parties. If you cannot provide food and/or work at the party, please
trade with another parent in the class and let our room mom(s) know. Our
room mom(s) is/are Rima Hassan and Gina Marwick. We are hoping that at
least 2 volunteer parents will be present at each party. The room mom(s) will
contact you with further details.
Below are some food, craft, and game ideas. Please keep in mind that all of our
parties this year will be right after lunch, so we do not need a lot of food.
Festive Ideas: Provide for 24 children, plus some extra
for any adults helping.
Fruit/Vegetables Bite size fruit or veg., kabobs, etc.
Cheese & Crackers Kabobs, fish crackers, chex mix, gorp, ritz,
popcorn, etc.
Desserts Festive cookies or cupcakes
Juice Juice box style- no cups please!
Take Home Treats Please have them individually wrapped and ready to
hand out at the and of the party.
Craft Simple, fun, provide all materials- 10 min.
Game Simple, fun, provide all materials- 10 min.
