2. Key duties/responsibilities for financial manager
1. Provide financial support to business units.
2. Maintain financial oversight and make recommendations on financial issues
to assigned business unit (s).
3. Coordinate and execute the monthly / annual forecast analysis process with
assigned business unit(s)
4. Proactively resolve MIS issues impacting performance and review impact
with business unit(s) and Divisional Financial Officers
5. Provide project financial support and analytics related to financial and other
performance metrics to assigned business unit(s).
6. Lead and/or present financial analysis and results to business unit(s).
7. Coordinate and execute the review of monthly reporting and results process
with assigned business unit(s).
8. Provide analytical support and recommendations on key financial issues.
3. Key job qualifications for financial manager
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university
2. Minimum of ten (10) years combined experience in corporate finance
and/or a professional services firm
3. Merger, acquisition, and/or divestiture experience
4. Strong financial acumen ability to translate complex business problems
into financial terms
5. Licensed, active CPA or CMA
6. Strong Microsoft Excel skills
7. Strong organizational and prioritization skills
8. Working knowledge of accounting (purchase accounting a plus),
economics, tax, legal, and business operations
9. Knowledge of PeopleSoft and ability to write database queries are
advantageous
10. Good communication skills (at all levels in the organization), both written
and verbal.
11. Flexible and responsible for meeting tight deadlines.
