Monday 7th September  I studied Q magazine and annotated the front cover.
 I started to find out the USP of Q magazine.
 I researched my chosen magazine of inspiration.
 I have researched a new magazine.
 I have started my audience profile, and have considered who my
target audience is going to be.

2.  I have started my contents page and DPS analysis.
Monday 21st September  I have completed my contents page and DPS analysis.
 I have completed my props list.
 I have started my masthead font styles.
Monday 29th September  Completed my masthead font styles.
 Started my photo shoot plan.
 Completed my magazine flat plan.
Monday 6th October  Completed my hand drawn draft for my music magazine front
cover.
 Completed my hand drawn draft for my school magazine front
cover.
Monday 12th October  Started my school magazine front cover.
Monday 20th October  Completed my school magazine front cover.
 I need to complete a hand drawn draft of my school magazine
contents page.
 I need to take pictures for my music magazine front cover.
Half Term
Monday 2nd November  Started my contents page for my preliminary task.
 Added my masthead, logo, and planned where all the elements
are going to go on my page using the guidelines.
Monday 10th November • Added the page number and website address to the bottom right
hand corner of my page.

3. • Finished my editorial and placed my signature onto the contents
page.
• Inserted editor details underneath my editorial.
Over the next week I aim to:
• Finish adding the stories onto my contents page.
Add images to support my stories.
Monday 17th November  In the last few days I have managed to finish my preliminary task
contents page. I used the checklist of the conventions I need in
order to make sure I have all the appropriate conventions within
my contents page.
Monday 24th November  I have started my main task music magazine front cover.
 I have inserted the masthead onto the page.
 I need to add a background colour and start adding more
conventions such as a barcode.
Monday 1st December So far, I have:
• Added colour to my masthead.
• Added a barcode along with social media conventions.
• Add colour to my background.
Over the next week I aim to:
• Add some original images to my front cover.
• Add some cover lines.
Monday 8th December So far, I have:
• In today’s lesson I changed my masthead slightly, I replaced the ‘r’
with a music note, I felt like this made it more unique and bought
more originality.

4. • I also planned where I am going to write my cover lines on the left
hand side.
• I edited my masthead copy in my barcode area and also adjusted the
sizing of the social media conventions.
• I also increased the text size of my strapline.
• Added in my cover lines
• Over a few lessons this week I have managed to complete my
front cover.
Monday 15th December So far, I have:
• Started my contents page.
• I have planned out where my secondary images are going to go.
• I have made the contents page title.
• I have planned where my subheadings are going to go.
Over the next week I aim to:
• Finish my headings.
Add in my secondary images.
Christmas Holidays
Monday 4th January So far, I have:
• Finished all my cover lines.
• I changed the colour of the rectangular box on the left from bright
blue to light grey as I felt there was too much blue beforehand.
• I have added a section where I am going to write about subscriptions
to my magazine.

5. Over the next week I aim to:
• Add in my secondary images.
Add in images, which support my cover lines into the grey rectangle.
Over a few lessons this week I have been able to complete my contents
page.
Monday 11th January So far, I have:
• Planned out where my writing and picture is going to go.
• I have added text boxes ready to insert my article.
• I have added a headline at the top.
Over the next week, I aim to:
• Insert my article onto my double page spread.
• Add the strapline underneath the headline.
Start to wrap the text around the headline.
Monday 18th January So far, I have:
• Edited the colour of my headline to ensure brand identity.
• Edited the picture that is going to be placed onto my double page
spread.
Over the next week I aim to:
• Place the picture onto my double page spread.
Make my pull quotes.
Over a few lessons this week I was able to complete my DPS.
Monday 25th January After some thought I decided to create an editorial on a separate page
due to this being what is done in my magazine of inspiration
‘Billboard’. This meant that I spent this week creating an editorial
page.

6. Monday 1st February Now that I have finished my magazine pages, I have started to correct
some of my previous work.
• Started to correct my planning&research work.
Monday 8th February • Continued to work on correcting my planning and research
work.
• Added some more images to my mind map.
Monday 15th February • Continued to work on the corrections for my planning and
research work.
Monday 7th March For the past few weeks I have been completing the corrections on my
planning and research work.
• I have now started to complete the evaluation questions.
Monday 14th March • I have completed questions 1&2 of my evaluation.
• I am starting question 3 this week.
Monday 21st March • I have completed question 3 of my evaluation.
• Started question 4.
• Finished my planning and research corrections.
Monday 28th March • I have completed my question 4 for my evaluation
• I have started question 5
Monday 4th April • I have finished my question 5
• I have started question 6
• I have started to make corrections to my magazine pages
Monday 11th April • I have finished my question 6

• I have been continuing to complete the corrections to my
magazine pages

7. • I am correcting my evaluation questions and after that is
complete starting to put them into media.
