milestones that traveling to space created for exploration.

Introduction: What comes to mind when you think of space innovation in the 1900’s? Do you
remember the time the man first landed on the moon? Or L. Gordon Cooper the first American to
spend more than one day in space? Or the Challenger 1. There were many events that happened
between 1963 to 1983 and this will help you learn about other events that impacted space.
Task:
How would you feel if you were the first American to spend more than one day in space?
Your task is to gain knowledge on different events that happened between 1963 and 1983.
Using the websites provided in the Process you will be asked to explore some of the events and
do more research on the some of the people that were influential during this time. You will be
asked to find different information and pictures on some of the events, people, and dates these
events happened.
You will put the information you have found and the answers you found in a powerpoint. Place
the pictures with the titled people and spacecrafts. You do not need to provide a bibliography but
outside information is not acceptable. This assignment is worth 40 points.

Evaluation: You will be evaluated on your powerpoint presentation, the creativity of your
powerpoint, the correct answers to the information and using it in the powerpoint.
Conclusion: To conclude this webquest you should have a better understanding of some of the
important space events that occurred and the things it did to the space innovation of time, and
how it impacted transportation. Your powerpoint should be done individually however you may
share answers put it in your own words and have fun learning about space and the things we
discovered while outside of the Earth.
