Android is a mobile operating system (OS) based on Linux
Kernel and developed by “Google”.
It is most commonly comes installed on a variety of
Smartphone's and tablets from a host of manufacturers
offering users access to Google’s own services like Search,
YouTube, Maps, Gmail and more.
The basic purpose of “Android” is user can easily look for
information on the web, watch videos, search for directions
and write emails on your phone, just as you would on your
computer, but there’s more to Android than these simple
examples.
3. What does Android App mean?
An Android app is a software application running on the
Android platform. Because the Android platform is built
for mobile devices, a typical Android app is designed for
a smart phone or a tablet PC running on the Android OS.
Android apps iOS are written in the Java programming
language and use Java core libraries.
They are first compiled to Dalvik executables to run on
the Dalvik virtual machine, which is a virtual machine
specially designed for mobile devices.
Developers may download the Android software
development kit (SDK) from the Android website. The
SDK includes tools, sample code and relevant
documents for creating Android apps.

Android software. Versions usually come with a numerical
code and a name that’s so far been themed after sweets
and desserts, running in alphabetical order.
