    • The main feature of a chalk landscape is an escarpment. The escarpment has two distinctive slopes- a scarp slope which is steep and a dip slope which is more gentle. The main features of a clay landscape is a vale- an area of flat land which is a chalk and clay area is found between the escarpments.
