WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE FOR YOUR
MEDIA PRODUCT?
AUDIENCE
• I did research into an audience interested in rock and punk culture.
• I found that my audience range was males and females mainly between the ages of 16-
25.
• I decided, after more research, that there would also be some older and possibly younger
people reading my magazine.
• My audience has quite a wide range of people in terms of attitudes, lifestyles and
opinions.
• Due to this, I decided to research more into magazines currently available for the target
group of my magazine, these included magazines such as NME and Kerrang!
• I utilised ideas from these magazines to find a the right combination of colours and
images to appeal to the greatest number of people.
INTERESTS OF MY AUDIENCE
• My audience will be interested will wear the clothes that the models in my photographs
are wearing.
• This is important as it allows the audience to connect with the visuals in the magazine.
• The audience are people who will enjoy hearing about the progression of bands and any
new material to be released soon.
• I have used this in my article and contents page articles.
• Overall, my audience have very ranged opinions and views and I have used
articles, colours and photos to incorporate the greatest number of readers.
MODELS
• I used specific models throughout my work to reflect my target audience.
• The clothes in particular worn by my models are reflective of what my audience would
wear
• As well as this, I have chosen people who would read this genre of magazine to appear in
my photographs.
• This means that my audience are people such as the ones who appear in my magazine.
