2. Front cover Using the same conventions of a real magazine of that genre. Using a pretty, young model to be my mainsell. I included 'real life' stories on the cover like real magazines do. Using other photos on the cover of clothes and accessories and another model. Using genre appropriate artists. Using 'girly' colours but mixed them with more 'sophisticated' colours on the coverlines to make it seem a bit more grown up and professional Using genre and age appropriate language.

3. Contents Page Using conventions from real magazines such as the editors letter, the sectioned content with headings. Using appropriate fonts. Eg the handwritten font on the signature for the editors letter. Using the same colour scheme from the cover. I put the images in Polaroid frames to appeal make the photos look more interesting. I also used images of the people on the cover for consistency. I made the numbers a different colour to the rest of the text so they stood out and could be read easily. I used reversed out cover lines for the headings and used a contrasting colour for the text inside the box so it stood out.

4. Double page spread Kept the colour scheme consistent. Used lots of images Used the conventions of a real magazine such as one main image and lots of smaller ones around the page. I also put the images in a frame which makes it look like It is a photo strip and the pictures I used in the frames were natural, fun poses to appeal to the younger audience. I also put quotes in text circles which overlapped the picture and with the article text running around itwhich is a common feature of a real magazines double page spread. I didn’t use too much text, as it is aimed at a younger audience. I used an extra box at the bottom to separate the interview from a different piece of text. I also put the question and the answer of the interview in different colours so they could be easily recognised.
