Project Loon
Project LOON
▪ it’s an internet and communication project announced
on 14th june 2013.
▪ About 5 billion people in the world don’t have internet access.
▪ It’s aimed at providing internet to rural and remote areas.
▪ In it high altitude balloons are placed in stratosphere at altitude of 32kms.
▪ The balloons uses wind date from the NOAA and establish themselves accordingly.
▪ Internet speed is nearly of 3g.
▪ One just can an antenna to connect to the internet.
▪ In it the signal travels from balloon to balloon to an ISP and which is connected to the
global network.
ProjectWing
Project WING
▪ Drone delivery project.
▪ Generally used to deliver packages ,goods & essentials.
▪ Based on the concept of moving things around.
▪ It has a tail sitter design i.e takes off and lands on it’s tail.
▪ Packages are dropped from a height using a winch and a fishing line.
▪ It has
4 electric motors, a 1.5m wingspan, and weighs about 8.6 kg.
▪ It has been outfitted with a radio and sensors and a cameras to allow
autonomous flight and delivery .

▪ Developing Autonomous cars, mainly electric announced in 2005.
▪ These cars don’t need a person to drive them.
▪ Works on the s/w called as Google CHAUFFEUR.
▪ Uses google maps, artificial intelligence and hardware .
▪ The latest prototype doesn’t even have a pedal or steer wheel.
▪ The important hardware used are
LIDAR,VIDEO CAMERA, POSITON SENSORS ,NAVIGATOR
AND DISTANCE SENSORS.
Help in making life better
▪ Google glass helps for better and easier lifestyle.
▪ The project loon will help to attain the goal to providing internet
access in remote areas.
▪ The self driving car will make driving safer , easier and precise and will
make travelling cheaper.
▪ The project wing will help in the field of security, photography and
others.
CURRENT SCENARIO
▪ The google glass is already in use and is available at a cost of 1000$.
▪ The project loon is right now providing internet in areas of New
Zealand.
▪ On the streets of California we can now see the google self driving
cars.
▪ The drone delivery project wing is being used in parts of France for
pizza delivery and also the courier company DHL.
