What’s new.?? •Galaxy Nexus, the latest "Google phone •The Galaxy Nexus (GT-I9250) is a touchscreen Android smartphone de veloped by a partnership between Google and Samsung •It has an HD (720p) Super AMOLED display with curved glass, and an improved camera, and debuted Android version 4.0, codenamed "Ice Cream Sandwich". • The name is the result of co-branding between the Samsung Galaxy and Google Nexus brands of Android smartphones.

Biggest controversy• It all started last December when some hackers hacked Gmail accounts of some human right activists.• Later Google found that these accounts were hacked by the hackers who originated from mainland China.• In Jan 2010, Google announced that in response to a Chinese-originated hacking attack on them and other US tech companies, they were no longer willing to censor searches in China and would pull out of the country completely if necessary

Achievements On Fortune magazines list of best companies to work for, Google ranked first in 2007, 2008 and 2012 and fourth in 2009 and 2010. Google was also nominated in 2010 to be the world’s most attractive employer to graduating students in the Universum Communications talent attraction index. Due to careful management, Google pays the lowest foreign tax rate of the five largest American technology companies. This is accomplished partly by licensing technology through subsidiaries in Ireland, Bermuda, and the Netherlands.
