We were founded in 2003 and have offices just outside of Detroit, MI. and near Bangalore, India. In addition to providing trained and skilled technologists we utilize a unique Human Capital Management system that provides a unique approach for sourcing, assessing and assigning people to projects . Our expertise is focused thus, we are specialists as opposed to generalists. In the next few slides we will provide detailed information about our areas of focus but suffice it to say that you cannot be expert at everything. As consultants we work to assess and analyze your needs with you , we establish a plan together, Bonsai provides inputs to make sure that delivery expectations are realistic as are staffing levels, schedules and processes to make the project run smoothly . Of course, you’ve heard the old adage “you can’t be everything to everybody” – well, if you look at the supposed capabilities of many IT consulting firms they would lead you to believe that they have expertise in all areas, can capably deliver any type of project and that their capabilities are unbounded. First and foremost - We are Technologists – and very good ones BUT more importantly We are targeted Technologists with a dedicated focus on our core capabilities. We are skilled, we are trained, we stay current and we utilize Agile Development methodologies, most often Scrum, to enhance our processes and help assure our deliveries. We know that most of the projects that we get involved in are complex, with many variables that need to be tracked, monitored and managed. We got rather frustrated with the tools that were available for doing this and so we use a combination of an exceptional Human Capital Management and Talent Acquisition and Management system so we get the right team members on projects (we‘ll explain more about its capabilities in a few minutes) and then use proven agile methods and processes to provide more predictable services and results to you. Our chosen areas of focus are also important in that they complement each other so when we are working for another client we are honing our skills to better serve you. As an exemple - providing remote data managementand DBA services better enabes us to hire more skilled data base developers who are also capable of understanding your data needs when it is time to implement an ERP system with you. We don‘t expect our DBAs to design a UI or test network throughput, yes we specialize and we believe that‘s important. There are a multitude of consulting companies out there including many with offices in the US and India and many of them do IT projects, some application development and frankly, many of them are good at what they do. What sets Bonsai apart is that we have very good people – trained, skilled, evaluated, senior level professionals that take pride in their work but in addition to their skills we provide a set of processes agreed to with our clients that take much of the guesswork out of the projects that we do.
