GASTRONOMY, HAIRDRESSING AND MAKE-UP: EDUCATIONAL EXCHANGE IN BRAZIL
A delegation of Argentine instructors specialized in gastronomy, hairdressing and make-up, from Vocational Training Center No. 28,
located in Buenos Aires, traveled to Salvador de Bahía (Brazil). They participated in the first educational exchange with SENAC Bahía,
developed in different headquarters located throughout the city: Aquidabã, Pelourinho, Casa do Comércio and Chile. The program
included activities designed for teachers to receive and offer training through classes, seminars and talks, aimed at sharing experiences
and seeking to improve curriculum systems.
Gastronomy
Ricardo Albornoz, gastronomy instructor at CFP No. 28, participated at
SENAC Pelourinho in an intensive seminar for preparing Acarajé and
Abará (two typical Bahian meals) provided by instructors Tadeu
Nonato and Elmo Alves. In addition, at SENAC Casa do Comércio, he
attended regular classes corresponding to the educational Training
Course of Cooks and offered his theoretical and practical knowledge
to students and instructors of said institution. In turn, he toured the
restaurant-schools of educational centers. To get deeper into the
culture of the region, he visited the Museum of Bahian Gastronomy,
belonging to the SENAC Pelourinho headquarters, and the San
Joaquin Fair, the largest in the area.
Hairdressing
As for hairdressing, the Argentine teacher specialized in this subject,
Glenda Giraudi, participated in the classes taught by Kelen Azevedo and
other Brazilian instructors from SENAC Aquidabã and SENAC Chile. She
also attended meetings with SENAC Chile’s executives and instructors in
which topics related to the methodology and teaching plans of the
beauty area were addressed. In turn, she visited the Keune Center,
specialized in curly hair, and the L’Oreal center.
Make-up
Verónica Couto, instructor of CFP No. 28, participated in classes
offered by Camila Santos, instructor of SENAC in the City of Vitória da
Conquista. They worked together throughout the week at the
headquarters of SENAC Chile, teaching classes to advanced students.
Veronica also attended eyebrow design classes and visited the
Samarina Beauty Salon.
The agenda of activities was intense and very enriching, resulting in a
strong stimulus for further progress in strengthening continuing
education and cultural exchanges in the field of education for work.
