Jari Laukia, director of the INEW member Finnish institu-
tion, Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences, visited
Buenos Aires. Within the framework of INEW, the director
of the Vocational Training School carried out several activities: he gave a lecture addressed to INEW Executive Direc-
tors on the Finnish education and production system, exchanged dialogues on INEW axis of action, such as education and labor guidance, the relationship with the
socio-productive context, training for trainers and so on.

HELIA UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES
Jari Laukia, director of the INEW member Finnish institu-
tion, Haaga Helia University of Applied Sciences, visited
Buenos Aires. Within the framework of INEW, the director
of the Vocational Training School carried out several activi-
ties: he gave a lecture addressed to INEW Executive Direc-
tors on the Finnish education and production system,
exchanged dialogues on INEW axis of action, such as
education and labor guidance, the relationship with the
socio-productive context, training for trainers and so on.
He also participated in conferences on how Vocational
Training works in Argentina and its characteristics. In addition, he had the opportunity to visit important institutions related to educa-
tion and work, such as INET, FEDUTEC, PREJET, CFP N° 28, among others.
EDUCATION AND LABOR MEETINGS IN URUGUAY
INEW authorities traveled to the capital city of Uruguay, Montevideo,
with a new goal in mind and visited the most important institutions in
terms of education and work.
The tour, guided by Mateo Berri, coordinator of the Assessment and
Monitoring Unit and Victor Conde, communications advisor, both
from INEFOP (National Institute of Employment and Vocational
Training), included a visit to several institutions in order to deal with:
National Office of Employment of the Ministry of Labor and Social
Security: operation of the entity, employment centers and labor
intermediation.
Knowledge Certification Unit of the Universidad del Trabajo of
Uruguay: organization of the institution, professional technical coun-
cil, division of training and implementation of knowledge certification.

The authorities visited the facilities of the Urugua-
yan Industrial Center of Bakers.

Uruguayan Center of Industrial Bakers: visit to practice
classrooms. Some of the courses offered to the community are:
professional bakery, practical cooking, patisserie, pastry, food mani-
pulation and bread making technology.
Los Pinos Education Center: details of the education project
intended for young people between the age of 16 and 25.
Labor Project: labor intermediation and vocational guidance.

OKAKARARA VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE
Okakarara VTC is a leading institution in teaching and training of professionals. It is located in Namibia,
in the southwestern region of Africa.
By means of their signature, the representatives of both institutions, Penson Mootu, Víctor Santa María
and Gustavo Álvarez, committed themselves to work as a team.
MILLENNIUM SKILL TRAINING ACADEMY
Ragunathan Marthammuthu, Víctor Santa María and Gustavo Álvarez made an alliance
between the institutions represented by them. As a result, Millennium Skill Training
Academy defined its commitment to become a member of such a significant institution as
INEW is.
It is located in Kuala Lumpur, the largest city in Malaysia. Millennium is a dynamic training
company offering a curricula with trades related to construction, IT, business management
and other short-term courses for Ongoing Vocational Development.The curricula are inten-
ded for full time or part time students.
