   E xample of foreign brands: Gucci, L oius Vuitton
   E xample of local brands: Robinsons, 7-E leven,
    OCBC

How Marina Bay Sands served
the community

  Boost Singapore’s economy by attracting
   tourists.
  Promote Singapore as a global country
  Earn revenue from the casino
  Provide more job opportunities to the
   residents
Solar-powered fan

 Uses Solar energy which is collected
  by the sunlight to operate so it
  conserves energy
Solar-powered fan

  Uses motion sensor which means it will
   only switch on when it detects that
   someone is under it
  When nobody is under it, it would
   conserve the energy
  People could sit down and relax under it
   after a tiring day
How the Marina Bay Sands served as a model to the
principles of Governance
Leadership is Key
The Leader had an excellent planning on the
  Marina Bay Sands.
They made a decision to build the Marina
  Bay Sands on a reclaimed land.
If they didn’t, it would have yet to be built
  now. They did what it right instead of what
  was popular.
Reward for Work; Work
for Reward
 The people are encouraged
  to work at Marina Bay Sands.
 Then they would be rewarded
  for their hard work.
A Stake for E veryone,
Opportunities for All
 The casinos brought revenue for Singapore
  although it caused social ills and break
  families apart.
 The government introduced a $100 levy
  for Singaporeans who wants to enter the
  casino. This discourages the
  Singaporeans to gamble.
 It also create more job opportunities for
  the people
