2. Discover, Define and Confirm the Primary Business Objectives
 Expectation of primary stakeholders / What / How / Why
7 Tools – document analysis, interviews, observation, root cause analysis, brainstorming, prototypes, walk-thrus
 Evaluate and resolve conflicting expectations
 Are business objectives clear and executable
 Ensure SMEs can support knowledge transfer of business objectives and are fluent in business processes
3. Define Scope
 Solutions approach to the reasons and extent of technology and business process change on the Organization
 RITEE filter ( relevant to mission, integrated across business units, timely in delivering info and reports, efficiently
collected and managed, effective in supporting better business decisions)
 Draft scope statement and review with key business and technology stakeholders / leverage SMEs
 Confirm and adjust business case while evaluating impact
4. Formulate Business Analysis Plan
 Provide clarity to business analysis process and provide detailed project requirements.
 Based on scope, PM methodology and key project aspects determine business analysis deliverables
 Communication plan, scope of plan / requirements documented, expected deliverables and validation process
 Timeline for completing business analysis deliverables

5. Define the Detailed Requirements
 Elicited feature or process change
 Analyze information
 Review and validate with key stakeholders / confirm with SMEs
 Focus on risk mitigation, cost control, CSAT, revenue and governance
 Evaluate against Step 3
6. Support the Technical Implementation
 Does solution design fulfill all requirements
 Opportunities to meet addition business needs while managing scope creep
 Update and / or repackage requirements to accommodate technology design and implementation process
 Engage with QA to determine technology test plan / test cases against functional business requirements
 Answer questions or resolve issue that arise during technical design, implementation and testing.
 Manage requirements changes, document, validate and communicate
 Support UAT and user adoption
7. Support the Business with Solution Implementation
 Analyze and develop interim and future state process documentation
 Design and develop user training materials in collaboration with training staff
 Train end user on technical and functional procedural changes and supporting business processes
 Review and update business users and organization assets impacted by the business processes and technology changes
8. Asses Solution Value and Create Follow-up Initiatives
 Evaluate progress from current state to future state business objectives
 Communicate results to project sponsors, key stakeholders and key tam members
 Define follow-up initiatives that add value and enhance Corporate Objectives
