French Polynesia is an overseas collectivity of France. It is composed of five archipelagos
grouping 119 islands, of which 74 are inhabited. The main island is Tahiti and represents
more than 65% of the population and concentrates most of the economic activity of French
Polynesia.
It is located in the South Pacific Ocean, approximately 4,000 Km northeast to Auckland,
New-Zealand, 5,700 Km east of Sydney, Australia, 6,600 Km south of Los Angeles, USA
and more than 17,000 Km from Paris, France, of which it is a dependence. It also includes
the vast adjoining sea spaces of about 5.5 million Km2
, that permits the development of
the fishing sector and the pearl farming.
Economically, these two activities are nowadays very important and represent the first
two families of exported products.The agrifood sector is also an essential sector of French
Polynesia. There are many cultivated, processed and exported species, mainly Noni
and Vanilla. Cosmetics sector is also an asset of these islands, with its famous «Monoi»,
internationally known for its dermatological and cosmetological qualities. Finally,
handicraft is another sector that should not be forgotten in the Polynesian economy.
Thanks to the high-quality know-how of the Polynesians, we find in French Polynesia very
beautiful products in the sectors of fashion, jewelry, textile, mother of pearl and wooden
objects.

Fragrances Tahiti is a Polynesian company that produces vegetable oils and many other by-products.
Located in Tahiti, in the Valley of Tipaerui, in Papeete,
the company’s main purposes have always been the development, manufacture and marketing of natural food
or cosmetic products from the Polynesian plants used in the traditional medicine or used in traditional Spa.

Virgin coconut oil
Cold-pressed coconut oil is made without any heat.
The coconut meat is scooped out and pressed to
obtain a pure coconut oil. Avoid additive, natural,
pure coconut taste,high levels of antioxidants.Best
for medium-heat cooking and excellent for baking
and recipes where you want to impart a delicate
coconut flavor.

French vanillas have been used to win prizes each year,
since 2006 during the Paris International Agricultural Show.
An exceptional product : Fat and oily pods with a wrinkled but glossy skin and an intense sweet aroma.
Better suited to desserts. Dominant aroma of prunes with a liquorice background.
The pods of vanilla tahitensis are harvested when their color shifts from yellow to brown,
and afterwards, they are exposed to direct sunlight intermittently for several months.
They are also hand-massaged so that the components inside the pods be gathered at the core of the pods.

Made from the pure juice of the O’Tahiti sugar cane, the
Manutea Agricole rums are one of the best expression
of£the very unique and preserved Polynesian terroir.
The cane is manually harvested on the island of Tahaa and
the juice extraction is made the same day with no added
water to keep all the flavour of the fresh cane.
The distillation process is made at the Manutea distillery in
Moorea and 3 more months are needed to give a perfect
balance to each bottle.

Parfumerie Tiki was founded in 1942 by a Polynesian native Gustave LANGY.The company is the first
and the oldest monoi factory in Tahiti. Still family business, it is managed by his son Daniel LANGY.
The company employs 20 Polynesians and the factory combines production, conditioning, logistics,
quality control and warehouse in 3000 sqm site in Papeete’s suburb.
First producer of monoi, Parfumerie tiki is widely distributed in French Polynesia and worldwide thanks
to the remaining quality of its monoi and cosmetic products made with authentic monoi made in Tahiti.
Tiki product lines contain more than 300 references gathering bronzing and moisturizing monoi oils, French milled
soaps, bath and shower products, gift packs…All the products can be found in standard sizes (120ml monoi,
250ml bath products), travel-size (30ml and small soaps) and economic size (1L) to match all budgets and needs.
