The document outlines various conventions commonly found in magazine advertisements for music albums. These conventions include displaying the artist's name, album name, main album cover image, logos of the artist or record label, release date of the album, inclusion of a popular single, websites and social media links for the artist and label, reviews of the album, and locations where the album can be purchased. The purpose of including these different elements is to effectively promote the artist, album, and record label brand to audiences browsing music magazines.

2. Name of artist
It is very rare that there wonβt be
the name of the artist on the magazine
advert, because its main purpose is to
promote the digipak by that artist.
3. Name of album
Similar to the name of the artist, the
name of the album will be on the
magazine adverts. Again to promote the
album to the audience.
4. Main image
The main image will usually be the same
as the album cover to ensure brand
identity and further promote the
digipak. The image on both the magazine
advert and the digipak will differ
according to genre.
5. Logo
Some artists have a specific logo or
symbol they use throughout their
products. For example, Rihanna uses the
letter βRβ which is instantly
recognisable as Rihanna.
AC/DC also have a specific
logo with a lightening bolt
in between AC and DC
6. Release date
The release date of the album will
always be on the magazine advert
because that is its purpose; to inform
audiences when they can buy the album.
Or if there isnβt a date it will say
βOut Nowβ
7. βIncludes the single...β
Sometimes the magazine advert will say
something along the lines of βincludes
the single...β or βFeaturing...βthis
is usually one of their best known
songs, again to further promote the
artist
8. Record label logo
The record label that the artist
belongs to will have its logo on the
advert usually at the bottom and fairly
small compared to everything else.
9. Artist and Label websites
Again like the record label, the
website of the record label and the
artist website will be on the magazine
advert, usually small and near the
bottom.
10. Reviews
On magazine adverts there will be
sometimes a rating or review from
different companies to show how others
rate the album.
11. βAvailable at...β
On some of the magazine advert it will
say βavailable now on iTunesβ or
βavailable at hmvβ,this is to show
the audience how easily available the
album is.
