and dear
Salient features:-
Most of the violence faced are from their family and relatives.
Conviction rate proves the failure of the judiciary .
Apart from it a total no. of 8233 dowry deaths were registered in the year 2012 out of
which in only 2635 cases was the accused convicted.
Lack of punishment and easy access of bail has made the whole judiciary a mockery.

 In the urban areas, opening of variety of secondary and tertiary jobs have not yet been
exploited.
