  1. What we see is filtered by colored glasses= ° selective ° emotional/ affective ° our own reference or experiences How they see/perceive reality has an influence on their selfesteem. And this perception is influenced by background etc. Perception big influence on selfsteem and how we see ourselves. Selfesteem has also an influence on our perception of reality (iemand die zeer veel elfesteem heeft zal anders – positiever – naar de werkelijkheid kijken). This filtered view of reality WILL LEAD TO AN INTERPRETATION of this view. -> Filtered view on ourselves= influence on our selfesteem -> BUT This filter, is very much INFLUENCED BY OUR SELF-ESTEEM which in turn FURTHER INTERPRETS what we see (affective and cognitive) -> someone with HIGH SELF-ESTEEM will interpret differently than someone with LOW SELF-ESTEEM. TTT: Perception is filtered to lead to an interpretation of the perception This filter, is very much influenced by our self-esteem (also influenced/battered by external negative impulses): which in turn further interprets what we see (affective and cognitive) We interpret our reality and we have a certain feeling of that reality. Our selfesteem is very much affected by that. We filter our experiences also through our selfesteem.
