I really want to thank you for persisting in trying to help me with this, however, I have downloaded the Antartica video to my computer and it still does not play the music. Actually, I think I’m about to give up as nothing seems to be working........I’ll just have to be happy that I heard it the one time.......just wish my husband could have seen it with music as it adds so much to it.
Hello Ruth Van Horne If you donwload the Antartica, you can isten it. It’s playing after you download it Now if you want to play and you need the sheet of music you can go http://www.archive.org/bookmarks/mambo1944 and you can see there if you can find it.
Hello Mihai; Thanks for the help, however that doesn’t work either. I had tried that a couple of times and simply saved it to my desktop...........however after getting your message I tried it again, and only the pictures show, still no music. Of course, I’ve heard it the one time, but would love my husband to hear it and I’d like to be able to hear it again as well........the whole presentation is made 100 times more awesome with the music included.
Dear Ruth, As far as I know, SlideShare doesn’t allow playing the sound online. But if you download the presentation, the sound is available and you can play it on your computer. To download, click on ’Get File’. I hope there won’t be any problem.
I had this wonderful PPS sent to me via email a few days ago and it had beautiful music with it..now the music won’t play. It only played once. Have tried it from this site and another one at Slideshare, but still no music....can you suggest anything? Of course I’ve checked my overall sound which is fine Thanks Ruth
The Antarctic continent is
located in the South Pole of
our Planet.
Its geography, climate and
biological conditions
provide a unique
enviroment.
Antarctica has the lowest
temperatures in our planet reaching
minus 158 degrees Farenheit with
winds of 187.5 Miles per hour.
Containing 90% of the planet’s ice
it’s the major reserve of fresh water
on Earth.
About 99% of Antarctica is covered
with ice at an average thickness of
8,200 feet reaching in some places
as deep as 15,669 feet.
The Antarctic Continent functions
as one of Earth’s “refrigerators”
regulating the oceanic currents and
the world’s climate.
In spite of the severe weather
Antarctica has rich animal life
amazingly well adapted to the
harsh conditions.
The arrival of the first tourists in the 50’s
was a main cause of enviromental
concern.
Strict rules and regulations were created
to protect the ecology and the enviroment
from the visitors such as creating
restricted zones , mantain a safe distance
from the wild life, not feeding or touching
the animals, and rigid control of waste
disposal.
During the summer months
(being the pick of the season in
January) there is daylight almost
24 hours a day while in winter the
days remain on a prolonging half
light or penumbra during most of
the 24 hours.
