    1. Management Consultant Report Presentation By Jacquelyn M N Lange
    2. Mr and Mrs Armstrong own Fit ‘n’ Well gyms that are franchised across Australia, and they want to expand So it was my job to find some information for them about the fitness market to help their decision- be it good or bad. So I searched and read and analyzed and found three really important and interesting areas of information that could really encompass the critical points about the New Zealand fitness industry!
    3.  The franchise industry in New Zealand rocks!  We have leading international growth rates (Germann, 2007)  There is a 94% initial surviving rate of new franchises (Lord, 2009)  We beat Australia in both these fields! YAY!  Conveniently, we have barely any laws concerning franchises (Germann, 2007)  People are starting to figure out that relaxing can be fun- so leisure activities are up in demand! (Germann, 2007)  So, its looking pretty good
    4.  Like...  People don’t actually like equipment based fitness (well not many)  People like to walk! As much as 73.3% of certain age groups in fact! (SPARC, 2008)  The purpose of gyms are becoming increasingly ‘social’ ones  This is called changes in the macro-environment of fitness!  And New Zealand has an opening for a gym that embraces this new demand
    5. They are the leaders in innovative modern franchised gyms! They offer... Team based work outs Their social! Being franchises they obviously relate to Fit ‘n’ Well They’re affordable too with is a bonus So it would seem that its an easy concept to become as great a gym in New Zealand as these two companies
    6. I recommended that...  They should critically consider franchising into New Zealand (the market is healthy, strong and stable!)  They should adapt to the new macro-environment, because that’s where the chance to be great is.  And to consider joining the FANZ (the only franchising law enforcer in this part of town).
