2. Getting grid by going
into ‘view’, ‘show’ then
‘grid’. Helps to make
sure everything’s inline
and neat.
Selecting the part wanted by
screenshotting the page then
pasting. I then used the
rectangular marquee tool to
select the part I
wanted, copied it and pasted it
onto a new layer.
3. Selecting the
Magic wand
tool to get rid of
the outside
white bit so I
only had the
title.
Changing colour
using paint bucket
by selecting the
colour then filling
in the masthead.
4. Moving layers on top of each other
so I could arrange the image how I
wanted.
Creating box using the rectangle tool then
writing using the horizontal type tool.
Adding an outer glow to the box by going
to blending options then ticking outer glow.
I then changed it so it was a different
colour.
5. Filling in
colour
Using brushes to create a
cool effect and to
separate the articles.
Done this by
downloading brushes
from psbrushes then just
using the brush tool to
apply them.
6. Creating a shape behind the
image so it creates a line and
separates the article and
main image without looking
weird. Used the line tool to
create the shape then paint
bucket to fill it in.
Using the gradient tool to
colour the background.
