21. Sage research highlights
• Libraries encourage publishers to “get their metadata out there everywhere,”
because there is so much at stake if a resource goes unused.
• The library catalog remains a priority discovery channel for librarians – publisher
supplied MARC records are needed most for print books, e-books and videos.
• Least discoverable items include AV materials, e-books, archival material, open
access content.
