The Renaissance period covers 1300 to 11600 AD.
Renaissance literally means “rebirth”, it refers to the rebirth of learning that
began in Italy spreading to England and back to Italy.
There was an enormous renewal of interest in and study of classical antiquity.
The Renaissance Period saw the cultivation of a vocal polyphony that has
never been surpassed.
Referred sometimes as the “Golden Age of Polyphony”
