2. How effective has your created
brand and media product been
in appealing to your target
audience?
3. • From my audience research both during
production and post-production I found
that my brand and media product were
successful in appealing to my target
audience of adults aged 30+
• When showing my music video to my
target audience and to an audience of
people my own age (17-18 years old), I
found that my target audience were able
to understand the meaning more so than
the younger audience who only watched
the video without trying to understand it.
4. • I found that the different interpretations of
my piece were largely to do with social
factors
• The younger audience read the text from
the perspective of a teenager – they saw
insecurities and immature relationships
• My target audience were able to create
back stories and their own unique
interpretations of the characters, all of
which could have been correct
5. How would you improve your
pieces if you were asked to
revise them?
6. Music Video
• In light of my audience feedback, the most
significant change I would make to my video
would be the male casting. The actor did not
have a strong enough presence on screen and
his skills were very limited, making him less
entertaining to watch
• I would also change the location of the flash-
back shots. The middle-class home did not
reflect the atmosphere of the song and the rest
of the video, and although I managed to hide it
to an extent by exaggerating the contrast on the
clips, this was not how I wanted the video to
look.
7. Digipack
• If I were to revise my digipack I would not
use stills from the music video.
Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures
while filming and so I had no choice but to
use stills. I feel that the quality of these
pictures made it harder for the digipack to
be effective.
8. Website
• If I could change my website, I would use
a different template as I feel the one I
chose limited how much detail I could put
on the homepage.
