2. I created a new project with a
template of ‘A4’. To achieve
this I used the measurements
29.7cm by 21cm.
I then opened my image
folder and dragged my
chosen image onto the
background layer.
3. I then added my artist’s name and the album name. I
chose to use different texts so the customer could see the
artists name stand out. I layered the album text to make it
fit with the retro aesthetic, this was just a case of copying
the layer and changing the colour of the second layer.
4. I added a rectangle shape banner and
altered the opacity and colour to look
more professional.
I then added the text for the release date to inform the customer. Again, I
used a different text to the others to ensure that this information stood out
and looked professional.
5. I used another font to add magazine reviews, this increases the credibility of the
album and allows consistency as I have used this font in my digipak. I also scanned
hand drawn stars and copied them onto a digital format to give my advert
authenticity and aesthetic.
I used adjustment layers to alter the
colour and grain of the image. This
allows the advert to maintain
consistency with the aesthetic of the
digipak.
