EDTECH in a Nutshell• Educational technology:
▫ it is the effective use of technological tools in
learning.
▫ As a concept, it concerns an array of tools, such as
media, machines and networking hardware, as well
as considering underlying theoretical perspectives for
their effective application.
EDTECH in a Nutshell
• Technology Integration
▫ it is the incorporation of technology resources and
technology-based practices into the daily routines,
work, and management of schools.
Technology Integration in Teaching
• It is the use of learning technologies to
introduce, reinforce, supplement and extent
skills (Phases of Technology Integration).
External Manifestations of Technology
Integration into Instruction
• There’s a change in the way classes are
traditionally conducted.
• The quality of instruction is improved into a
higher level.

• There is planning by the teacher on the process
of determining how and when technology fits
into the teaching-learning process.
• The teacher sets instructional strategies to
address specific instructional issues/problems.

• The use of technology provides the opening of
opportunities to respond to these instructional
issues/problems.
• In sum, technology occupies a position (is a
simple or complex way) in the instructional
process.
Levels of Technology Integration
• Level 1 (Simple integration)
▫ Technology integration has no substantial
change in the teaching-learning process from
the previous method.
▫ While technology helps, it does not play a
pivotal role.
Levels of Technology Integration
• Level 1 (Simple integration)
▫ Example:
The use of LCD Projectors in
presenting concepts and, examples through
images/pictures.
• Level 2 (Middle level integration)
▫ There is a purposeful use of technology to
support key learning areas.
 Example:
The use of instructional simulation software
in which students play detectives to solve mysteries
related to Geography in their Geography subject.
• Level 3 (High level integration)
▫ Technology is the central instructional tool.
 Example:
Students were tasked to produce computer
newsletter to dish out information on the ASEAN
Region.

have a more exciting lesson
and that will engage the
learners to be creative and

We were tasked
each group to
report the
different topics
on EDTECH for
us to be ready in
demonstrating
our lessons in
the future.

We were taught on
how to make a
proper powerpoint
presentation to be
used when we will
teach our future
students.
We were also taught
different ways on how
our students will learn
and at the same time will
enjoy the lesson. And for
our final presentation in
this subject, we BSE
Math 2-2 were tasked to
perform a pantomime.
EDTECH 22
While in here,
different
applications that
can be used in
teaching were
taught on us. Like
Hypermedia,
webpages and more.
And for this semester,
in this subject we
were tasked to make
an Facebook page
where in that page we
will show the
different importance
of EDTECH in
teaching.
The Student After EDTECH
From the very start of studying EDTECH, I
learned that with the use of technology in
education, the lesson will be more interesting,
challenging and catchy. I learned that there are so
many ways that the modern technology can help
and contribute in the education.
By exploring the modern technology, I, as a
future teacher, I learned that there are so many
ways to present a topic that will make and mould
my learners to be creative and critical thinkers.
In the quotation, “Do not confine your
children to your own learning for they were born
in another time”, it says that we should not teach
our students like the way how our teachers
teaches us when we were studying because it is
better if we teach them in the use of what is trend
today. And lastly and more important, I learned
that TECHNOLOGY CAN NEVER REPLACE
THE TEACHER.

EDTECH in a Nutshell• Educational technology: ▫ it is the effective use of technological tools in learning. ▫ As a concept, it concerns an array of tools, such as media, machines and networking hardware, as well as considering underlying theoretical perspectives for their effective application.   • 7. • Technology Integration ▫ it is the incorporation of technology resources and technology-based practices into the daily routines, work, and management of schools.
  • 8. Technology Integration in Teaching • It is the use of learning technologies to introduce, reinforce, supplement and extent skills (Phases of Technology Integration).

External Manifestations of Technology Integration into Instruction Cont… • There is planning by the teacher on the process of determining how and when technology fits into the teaching-learning process. • The teacher sets instructional strategies to address specific instructional issues/problems.
  • 13. External Manifestations of Technology Integration into Instruction Cont… • The use of technology provides the opening of opportunities to respond to these instructional issues/problems. • In sum, technology occupies a position (is a simple or complex way) in the instructional process.
  • 14. Levels of Technology Integration • Level 1 (Simple integration) ▫ Technology integration has no substantial change in the teaching-learning process from the previous method. ▫ While technology helps, it does not play a pivotal role. Levels of Technology Integration
  • 15. • Level 1 (Simple integration) ▫ Example: The use of LCD Projectors in presenting concepts and, examples through images/pictures.
  • 16. • Level 2 (Middle level integration) ▫ There is a purposeful use of technology to support key learning areas.  Example: The use of instructional simulation software in which students play detectives to solve mysteries related to Geography in their Geography subject.
  • 17. • Level 3 (High level integration) ▫ Technology is the central instructional tool.  Example: Students were tasked to produce computer newsletter to dish out information on the ASEAN Region.
  • 18. Learning Through EDTC 1 and EDTC 2 EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY or EDTECH, the subject that gives us the knowledge about applying the technology in teaching. EDTECH Gives us the hint on what different technology applications can be used to have a more exciting lesson and that will engage the learners to be creative and critical thinkers.
  • 19. REPORTING We were tasked each group to report the different topics on EDTECH for us to be ready in demonstrating our lessons in the future.
  • 20. EDTECH 21 We were taught on how to make a proper powerpoint presentation to be used when we will teach our future students. We were also taught different ways on how our students will learn and at the same time will enjoy the lesson. And for our final presentation in this subject, we BSE Math 2-2 were tasked to perform a pantomime.
  • 21. EDTECH 22 While in here, different applications that can be used in teaching were taught on us. Like Hypermedia, webpages and more. And for this semester, in this subject we were tasked to make an Facebook page where in that page we will show the different importance of EDTECH in teaching.
  • 22. The Student After EDTECH From the very start of studying EDTECH, I learned that with the use of technology in education, the lesson will be more interesting, challenging and catchy. I learned that there are so many ways that the modern technology can help and contribute in the education.
  • 23. By exploring the modern technology, I, as a future teacher, I learned that there are so many ways to present a topic that will make and mould my learners to be creative and critical thinkers.
  • 24. In the quotation, “Do not confine your children to your own learning for they were born in another time”, it says that we should not teach our students like the way how our teachers teaches us when we were studying because it is better if we teach them in the use of what is trend today. And lastly and more important, I learned that TECHNOLOGY CAN NEVER REPLACE THE TEACHER.
