2. Studying Epidemiology 2
Epidemiology is the study, which deals with the inquiry on diseases and their
foundations. The field is data driven and uses one unbiased approach to collecting, analyzing and
interpreting data. The basic methods used in observations use comparisons in assessing the
observations made in the demographic data. Despite this, epidemiology still draws from the
scientific fields, which includes informatics and biologic social behavioral sciences. In fact,
many scientists consider epidemiology as a part of public health. Epidemiology is a discipline
that requires the knowledge of statistics and many research methods. Another reasoning is that
epidemiology is a method of casual reasoning, which is based on development, and testing many
hypotheses, which are, grounded on scientific methods such s biology and physics and other
health related behaviors. The field of epidemiology is an important public health. Epidemiology
provides the foundation for the direction of appropriate public health action which is based on
science and other mathematical reasoning.
