TEDxRheinMain is a world-class conference about Innovation,
Creativity and Ideas based in Frankfurt.
TEDxRheinMain is one of the first TEDx events in Germany – started in 2011. Its
main goal is to develop and leverage the TED experience at a regional level, uniting
innovators, thinkers, inspirational speakers, shakers, makers and breakers.

DATANAUTS
DECODING EARTH
A new generation of satellites lightens our imagination and
feeds our long-time demand for a new range comprehensive
and of high quality data focused on global environment.
Together with EUMETSAT, the European organization for the
exploitation of meteorological satellites TEDxRheinMain will
launch a series of events, meetups and hackathons to foster
awareness for the open satellite data and topics related to earth
observation.

To kick of the Datanauts campaign
TEDxRheinMain has successfully launched
its first high altitude balloon mission to the
lower orbit in November 2016 called #HABx
During a TEDxAdventure we launched a
large hydrogen filled balloons to reach a
target altitude of 30-35 km. This balloon
carried a retrievable payload that acted as
base platform for various experiments and
environmental data logging.
Our main mission goal is
to launch a CubeSat by 2018.
To achieve this we will do further balloon
launches throughout the following months.

DataViz is group of data lovers; a monthly meetup of coder, designers, and
scientists focusing on the journey that happens from data to storrytelling.
Launch of HABx at the Bensheim Glider Airfield
A TEDx Adventure with speakers from the German Weather Service, the
European Space Operations Centre in Darmstadt (ESA) and
TEDxRheinMain.
Presentation at the annual meeting of Ecsite space meeting
Ecsite is the european network of science centersand museums. The
mission is to inspire people with science and technology and enabling
dialogue between science and society.

TEDxADVENTURE
The goal of this project is to use it as a platform for involving our
community in learning more about earth observation in an edutaining
way.
TEDxRheinMain is funded entirely through sponsorships. It is only
through the support from partners that TEDxRheinMain is able to
continue. Some benefits of sponsoring or donating to TEDxRheinMain
are.
• Enhancing company image as a supporter of education and inspiration
• Increasing exposure in the community through interaction with though
