1. Wild Carpathia Association
Started in 2013 as an educational volunteer (European Voluntary Service -
EVS) promoting association in Sighisoara, Romania.
Activity it’s based on non-formal educational programs, personal
development and community interaction projects.
The main goal is to increase the educational level and to develop the
personal and professional projects delivering experiential learning classes
and opportunities.
We reach our goals through knowledge exchange, ideas, experiences, by
establishing partnerships between community members through
association programs or through the developed projects inside/outside
Romania.
October 2015 Wild Carpathia Association decided to set up the Volunteer
Center Sighisoara (CEVOS) as the organization project and headquarter.
Until now Wild Carpathia Association implements its non-formal
educational projects with the support of almost 100 international
volunteers, more than 70 collaborators and local volunteers.

Volunteer Center Sighisoara (CEVOS)
The newest and most innovative Wild Carpathia Association
project, CEVOS, is a cultural-educational non-conventional center,
located in the heart of Sighisoara, which aims to train the mind
through games and creative workshops, helping participants to
discover new things about themselves, find effective ways to
communicate with those around them and to acquire the most
diverse skills.
Currently at CEVOS the youngsters are developing different activities
based on non-formal education: foreign language workshops
(Estonian, Turkish, Italian, Spanish, French), art & craft workshops,
cultural, educational and leisure activities, summer camps and team
games, intercultural and topic events.
CEVOS is popular in the Sighisoara community and enjoys
participants presence of all ages in its activities. This is the place
where EVS volunteers begin their relationship with the community
interacting with children and youngsters.
The activities organized by CEVOS become an example for the
community and contribute to its constant development.

Increase the organizational capacity - growing the team
Creating a working environment for the members,
volunteers and community beneficiaries
Strengthening financial stability of the association
Expansion and upgrading the activities and the work with
our community, volunteers and collaborators using the
internet and online services as tools
Acting as a source for the community in Sighisoara to get
information on volunteering opportunities
Adherence to various umbrella entities
CEVOS - composed of work spaces, conference room and offices.
Started 3 people and now we are 8 adults responsible for conducting,
organizing and managing activities and strategies.
Lately we are building a complex program of fundraising for acquiring
the necessary funds to support the activities. Our main financial
support it’s based on EU non-refundable funds.
Discovering and using the newest online platforms which could make
our work and communication easier using IT logistic devices.
We share our knowledge and support through trainings and courses
organized by us or by our different partners regarding different
learning needs that the community has including IT skills.
Starting with 2013 accredited by National Agency to develop Erasmus+
projects. Since 2015 accepted as a founding member of Federation of
Youth working NGOs. Since 2016 we are a “Volum Federation”
member.

“Education is Freedom”
Due to the national education system’s situation we strongly believe that the changes
and improvements are possible with the extra support provided also by the NGOs.
A non-formal education can easily be approached and understand by children and
youngsters finding it more interesting, more actualized, more opened to their
growing needs.
Providing to the educational institutes highly non-formal school projects, supported
by our volunteers can open a new road to the children and youngsters minds in order
to reduce the school abandonment and increase their skills as future employees or
entrepreneurs.
Promoting European values fostering active citizenship and supporting national
identity among young people its part of our aim.

HEAL – Healthy, Eating, Active Leaders (2014)

Healthy Eating Active Leaders (HEAL)
Was developed during 10 months and involved more than 500
youngsters from 3 high schools of Sighisoara.
Activities organized by EVS volunteers promoted the development of
a healthy lifestyle, balanced, beneficial and school activities and daily
life.
Youngsters from partner high schools have learned together
about the importance of eating healthy food, drinking water, the
need to adopt a good posture and to engage in leisure activities.

IRIS project - Flagship Initiative
Had as principal idea teaching art and culture methods.
It involved the following activities: theater, dance, music, painting,
circus, cultural and artistic events, outdoor activities.
The 8 young EVS volunteers were also involved in organizing the
Sighisoara Medieval Festival, participating as artists playing “The
Tartufazo”, and organized a 2 weeks free summer camp attended by
about 100 children.
They organized ecology campaigns in schools; developed weekly
workshops and get involved in the activities organized by Kids Club of
the city.

KINDERLAND
Main objective of the project is the acquisition/development of
competences for a better transition from school/unemployment to
labor market, that can be useful if the volunteers want to become
youth workers or solidarity competences for those in need.
The volunteers were working in 7 schools and 4 kindergartens.
They used non-formal education to teach more than 700 children and
interact with them during their stage.
