1. The Present Continuous Vs. The
Simple Present
• Objective:
Students will be able to
differentiate the Present
Continuous and the Simple
Present through creating
sentences and writing a paragraph
in which they will apply both of
them. (Simple Present Continuous
and the Simple Present).
Example:
She is writing an e-mail. (Present
Continuous)
She writes an e-mail. (Simple
Present)
2. Introduction
In order to do the activities that you can find in this webquest you
will need no more than an hour and a half to finish them .They are
designed to help you practice and improve your knowledge.
It is helpful if you want to revise what we have studied in the
classroom. At the end of the activities you will be ready to do the
exam! I am sure about it.
I think this is a nice and creative way, of course, of being in touch
with you and study together.

• Make a chart with the following categories:
Tense, Use, Examples, Affirmative, Negative,
Questions.
• Write a paragraph of about 100 words, describing
your daily routine during a week.
• List all the actions in the given text that are in
Present Continuous and answer the questions.
• Please, answer the exercise and submit them,
write down the results.
4. Process

going to use in the chart.
2. Open a word document and start creating the chart.
3. Start writing the composition using Simple Present on the same
document.
4. Open the third link which contains a text that is mainly written in
Present Continuous.
5. Open the fourth link, go to Present Continuous vs Present Simple,
on the same document write your marks.
