Offshore Structures Specification Task Force (Formed in 2017):
• IOGP initiative funded by JIP35 for standardization of offshore structures design
specifications following successful IOGP JIP33 initiative.
• Objective: Selection of an agreed base standard; using the contributing operators’
specifications as input, identify and agree minimum, essential common
requirements, documenting these in jointly approved supplementary specifications,
published by IOGP.
• 11 contributing operators: bp, Chevron, Eni, Equinor, ExxonMobil, Inpex, Petronas,
Shell, Suncor, TotalEnergies and Woodside.
• Leadership: Chairs - Simen Moxnes, Equinor (Ph.1 & 2) and Andre van der Stap,
Shell ( Ph.3).Vice Chair – Philip Smedley, bp ( Ph.1,2 & 3)
• 11 Teams in Phase 1 & 2 publishing 11 supplementary specifications (overlays).
