• Teachers must learn to enrich lessons
with technology to enhance learning
• Knowledge must be acquired and
continually updated
• Local and national educational standards

Professional Requirements
• NCLB Act states students must be
technology literate by completion of grade 8
• States are incorporating technology
standards for certification/licensure
• No specific requirement for national
certification yet
– But technology can fill requirements for
diverse teaching methodology
