Members of the Robert Gilliam Leadership
Academy will meet twice monthly and will
participate in exciting activities such as:
• Attend quarterly District U-46 School Board or
Elgin City Council meetings.
• Plan and conduct community service projects to
benefit the citizens of Elgin and the surrounding
area.
• Serve on the Club’s Parent Advisory Committee.
• Learn the fundamentals of public speaking,
listening and communication skills through
Toastmaster’s workshops.
• Polish your ettiquette skills to prepare you for
future professional encounters.
• Learn how to conduct a meeting using Robert’s
Rules of Order.
• Plan for your future with college visits and
career exploration opportunities.
