3. Step 1- Management dilemma
WHAT IS MANAGEMENT DILEMMA?
A dilemma is a complicated problem where
there appears to be no good answers.
Employing dilemma management, or the
process of addressing complicated problems
and resolving them in a systemic manner,
can help resolve these issues. The dilemma
management framework to follow is:
Address It, Don't Avoid It.
4. Management dilemma in our
research
Management dilemma came out as:
Decreasing marks of students of
undergraduate courses in Midterm 2
5. Step 2 – Management question
WHAT IS MANAGEMENT QUESTION ?
Management question—the management
dilemma restated in question format.
USUALLY STARTS WITH WHAT AND
HOW ?
6. Management question for our
research
Management question came out as:
What can be the possible reason(s) behind
decreasing marks of students of
undergraduate courses in Midterm 2
7. Step 3- Research question
WHAT IS RESEARCH QUESTION ?
A research question is 'a question that a
research project sets out to answer'.
Choosing a research question is an
essential element of both quantitative
and qualitative research. Investigation
will require data collection and analysis,
and the methodology for this will vary
widely.
8. Research question in our
research
Research question finalised as :
Technical errors in online exam pattern i.e.
Midterm 2
9. Step 4- Investigative
question(S)
WHAT IS INVESTIGATIVE QUESTION?
An Investigative question is a
scientific question posed for which you
seek to find and answer, either by
designing an experiment, testing an
existing product or by doing a survey. In
all cases you will need to collect and
analyze all the data yourself.
10. Investigative questions in our
research
1. Name of the respondent
2. Age
3. Course enrolled in
4. Decreasing marks in Midterm 2 due to
online exam pattern
5. There are many technical problems while
conducting online exam
6. Computer system gets automatically off or
hanged while giving online exam
7. Questions often gets repeated more than
once
11. …..contd
8. Question appears incorrect or incomplete
while giving online exam
9. Timer shows incorrect or lesser time than
what actually is allocated for the exam
10. Login into same account can be done on
more than one screen at the same time
11. Technical errors leads to miscalculation or
unsatisfactory marks
12.Online exam pattern should be replaced
with offline exam pattern like midterm 1
12. Step 5- Measurement question(S)
WHAT IS MEASUREMENT QUESTION ?
Measures are the items in a research
study to which the participant
responds. Research measures include
survey questions, interview questions,
or constructed situations. When
constructing interviews and surveys, it is
important that the questions directly
relate to the research questions
13. Measurement question in our
research
The first three questions where
measured in short type answer.
Rest all the questions where measured
on the likert scale 1-5 i.e. Strongly
disagree – disagree – neutral – agree –
Strongly agree
14. Sample
A sample refers to a smaller,
manageable version of a larger group. It
is a subset containing the characteristics
of a larger population.
Sample used in our research are students
of under graduation courses
15. Sample size
Sample size measures the number of
individual samples measured or
observations used in a survey or
experiment.
Sample size used for the research is 25
students
23. Timer shows incorrect or lesser
time than what actually is allocated
for the exam

28. DATA INTERPRETATION
As we can clearly see that the average for
every question is more than 3 that means
students agree with the questions asked, so
it is clear that students also agree that there
are technical errors in online exam pattern.
Median came out as 4 the most so again it
reflects agreeing with the question asked.
Mode came out as 5 to be most of the times
this shows students strongly agree with the
questions asked.
29. CONCLUSION
After getting the response from each
respondent and analysing & interpreting there
response it gets clear that students agree that
there are technical errors in online midterm
exam pattern.
Also if we see mode for the last question it
gets clear that students prefer offline mode of
exams rather than online mode.
