If given the opportunity to be a part of this program, I will take full advantage of the resources
provided by the program in order to better prepare myself for the future ahead of me. I will inquire
my Heart 2 Heart Mentor how to prepare for the GRE, how to become a competitive applicant, and
how to be a successful student in professional school, particularly at DMU. In addition, I will
develop a rapport with my Admissions Advisor, who I hope will guide me all the way to physical
therapy school matriculation. In addition, I aim to create lifelong relationships with the other nine
students in the program, expanding my network with connections from around the country.
The program appears enriching and eventful, and I am most excited about the hands–on component,
especially the anatomy and the Human Performance labs. I have taken anatomy only in high school,
and it fascinated me with its complexity of the human body. The deeper I ventured into the subject,
the more lost I was in its immensity. Being able to work with a cadaver at DMU would be a surreal,
captivating experience. Regarding the Human Performance Lab, being able to diagnose and treat

The implementation of EA at Denver Law offered an opportunity to bring students into the
discussion. While the EA program was being developed and rolled out at Denver Law, we designed
a survey–based study to explore the impact of this program on enrollment and student educational
experience. The study was designed around a series of Denver Law student surveys. Here, we report
on the findings of five surveys: three entering classes (2013–14, 2014–15, and 2015–16) and two

I chose to apply to Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University because of its unique
educational programs, an assortment of service opportunities, and devotion to biomedical research.
As the first member of my immediate family to try to earn a higher education degree, the Pre–

Listen to music and practise some meditation to calm yourself and release tension that has been
built–up in the body. This will help to better control stress and help find peace with yourself.
In matric there is a lot of work load and thus a student is stressed. In order for you to limit this stress
one should ensure they make or compile a planner in which they allocate days to do a certain piece
of work. If I am too lazy to make a planner I will have to do work such as projects days in advance
instead of leaving them to the last minute which will minimise stress and maximise time.

other activities other than stressful matric work stress levels are given a chance to decrease and thus
one will have a more relaxed and calm approach when doing the stressful things.

Attending The Matriculation Ceremony
On September 10, 2015, I attend the Matriculation ceremony in the gymnasium. Despite the fact that
I was focused on the gospel choir's upcoming performance, I paid attention to the entire program.
The ceremony was a decent, but there were a few flaws in the program. In addition to the mistakes
that I witnessed, a large majority of the audience did not receive all of the information well. The
introduction of the ceremony was mediocre due to the fact that the ROTC Color Guard did not post
the colors well. After I watched the Color Guard post the colors, I was appalled because I did not
expect the presentation to be sloppy. As a freshman in college, a person would expect an excellent
performance from a collegiate organization or program.

The Importance Of Commitment In College
A student's decision to attend college is a personal choice that comes with personal recognition of
their responsibility. Whether the student attends a two or four –year college this choice requires
commitment. Commitment begins with the acceptance of personal responsibility for one's actions,
determination, and hard work. Gordon states in his article that "choosing a college is a daunting task
for the graduating high school student. And considering that choices made in college shape the
trajectory of the rest of your life, its significance can't be underestimated" (Gordon Govier, 2010)
College attendance is not a requirement but a gateway to a successful career if one is responsible
enough to attend and complete course work to earn a degree. I feel as though being a college student
is very time consuming, and I have never been so over whelmed with work in my life. There are a
lot of things that you must put into view before you decide to come to any college. Everything
should be sent to your school and done in a timely matter for when you get to the school of your
choice you will not be lost. To be a full–time college student you must put into perspective what
type of schedule you want to have and how much free time you have so you can learn to use your

Background
The Student Success and Support Program (SSSP) for California community colleges arose as a
result of the Senate Bill 1456 with a mission "to increase California community college student
access and success by providing effective core matriculation services, including orientation,
assessment and placement, counseling, and other educational planning services, and academic
interventions," or follow–up services for at–risk students (Graillat, Lawrence, Quiaoit & Mohr,
2016, p. 4). While this Senate Bill established the SSSP, there were other acts and bills that came
before that eventually paved the way for the Student Success and Support Program.
The Seymour–Campbell Matriculation Act of 1986 created the matriculation process for continuing
and incoming students taking courses for credit. The idea was that there should be an equal
educational opportunity across California and that this would be accomplished through having the
same educational services across campuses that would help students reach their educational goals
(Graillat et al., 2016). Furthermore, in 1990, the Board of Governors (BOG) specified what the
regulations would be for implementing the matriculation process (Graillat et al., 2016). In 1997 and

A. Statement of Purpose:
The purpose of this experiment was to determine whether a point mutation on the lac– strain,
CSH61, from the previous experiment is suppressed by amber suppressors, SuI, SuII, and SuIII. If
the point mutation on the lac– strain was a nonsense mutation, a second mutation on the tRNA for
that codon would be able to restore function of the lac gene by inserting an appropriate amino acid
at the stop codon instead of terminating protein production. Therefore, the CSH61 cells could grow
on lactose. If the point mutation was missense, no growth would be able to occur as the lac gene
would not have its function restored.
This experiment was carried out by mating Hfr lac– mutants (CSH61) to three F– strains (CSH54,
CSH55, and CSH56) with deletions in the lac–pro region, each with a different suppressor and a
