2.5 Years in RF Planning /Optimization On cellular Networks
GSM/WCDMA:-
Presently working as RF Consultant (GSM900/1800 & 3G&U900) in
IDEA Cellular through Titiksha Tele Technocrats Private Limited MS
(PUNE) in Maharashtra from Aug 2014 to till date.
Current Job Profile

 Interaction with customer for Network related issues and finding solutions

 Analysis of Drive test Reports for improving end user experience & KPI’s.
 Network-Optimization by drive tests, antenna tilts, antenna orientation
changes & soft Parameter changes.
 Knowledge of frequency (BCCH and Scrambling code) planning.
 Knowledge of IBS planning and Booster Planning.
 Analysis of RF Drive Test data on TEMS Investigation, RF Planning tools
like Mapinfo etc, to determine network Problems, Poor Coverage areas,
Interference, Call drops & Handover Problem.
 Using google earth define antenna orientation, Height & Tilt.
 Confirmation of antenna type, height and tilt as per planning, Removal of
sector or cable swap at BTS
 Using HSDPA Testing web site Download & Upload speed checked and
find solution to improve it.

Role & Responsibilities:-
• New sites and existing sites optimization include improvement in TCH,
SDCCH drops and other drops due to quality or coverage issues.
• Nominal Planning for coverage & capacity sites using customer input &
MRR.
• Regularly conduct and analyze detailed drive test and provide
recommendations for coverage and quality improvement through
coverage redesign proposals, cell design data (CDD) parameter
modifications, and new site nominations.
• Conduct detailed drive test in key areas with degradations in KPI
statistics which causes major impact in network wide statistics.
• Participated in Network Planning activities like BCCH, BSIC, HSN, and
MAIO Planning.
• Carry out data (GPRS/EDGE) drive test, benchmarking with others
operators & optimization for improvement of data network performance.
• Optimization of Antenna height & Tilt through MRR report & drive test
data
• Preparing Cell Design data (CDD) for New Macro, Micro & IBS cells.
• Co-ordinate with TRAI & TEC personnel for audit & inspection of
network performance.
