2. What Is Sociology?
Sociology is the word which is derived from the Latin word (societies) which means society.
Sociology is very vast field which is the study of society, social relationships and culture.
Sociology plays very important role in the understanding of society it defines the relationship of
humans and animals in other words sociology defines the communication of human’s with one
another. Sociology also covers the area of human thinking that how they think and how they
behave with one another in the society and how they react on different activities. Sociology also
analysis our communities and our personal life that what are those factors due to which their way
of communication and their way of living become change. In other words we can say that sociology
is the study of those factors due to which change occur in the human’s personal life. Sociology
investigates the social level of personal level and also society level. It is the social science that
uses the various methods of empirical investigation.
What Is The Scope Of Sociology?
Sociology has vary huge scope. It covers the whole area of human life and also covers that factors
which are involving in the human life and due to which way of living of human change with the
passage of time. And it plays an important role in the analyzing of society of any country. If we
apply the sociology in PAKISTAN then we can solve many problems which are occurring in
PAKISTAN. And we can get innovative solution for these existing problems. Sociology has no
limits it has no starting point and no ending point. Because the main reason is that sociology covers
the whole life factor. In sociology there are two types of thoughts which are given below
 Formal School of Sociology
 Synthetic School of Sociology
Formal school of sociology emphasizes the forms of the social relationships. Sociology is the
specific type of social science which describes, analyses, classifies the forms of relationships.
Which build with the passage of time. While on the other hand Synthetic school of thought is the
study of synthesis of social science. Sociology has three main principals
 Morphology
 Social Physiology
 General Sociology
Morphology is the study of the geographical and territorial biases of the people life. Such as
population, its size and distribution. And Social Physiology deals with the genesis and nature of
various social institutes such as religion, morals, law and economic institutes. In the third type
general sociology deals with the formulation of general law.
Here we can see that sociology covers the every factor of human life which is involve in the
human’s life.

3. Two Author of Sociology?
Gorge A. Lundberg:
He was the president of American Sociological Society. He get his bachelor degree from
University of North Dakota in 1920. After working with the federal Emergency Relief
Administration he moved to Bennington College where he was professor of Sociology.
Charles Cooley:
He was also American sociologist. He studied and went on the tech economics and sociology at
university of Michigan.
