Meeting called to order: 6:15 pm
Roll Call: Dave Barnhart performed the roll call; the following chapter officers were
present: President Ronnie Beitzel; Vice-president Phil Wright; Secretary-Treasurer Dave
Barnhart; Eboard Member Art Fondriest . Eboard members Gabe Fincher and Greg
Wallace were excused. Ronnie Beitzel declares a quorum.
Secretary’s Report
Dave Barnhart read the minutes from the March 25, 2014 meeting. No corrections,
additions or deletions. Art Fondriest made a motion to accept the minutes, Phil Wright
seconded, motion carried. The minutes have been approved.
Treasurers Report:
As of today we have a balance of $6756.85 in the savings account and $1529.28 in the
checking account. The following checks have been written since the last meeting: Check
Number 1917 in the amount of $300.00 to the United Steel Workers for hall rental for
2014; Check Number 1918 was voided; Check number 1919 in the amount of $5.32 to
Dave Barnhart for copying keys for the USW hall. No other transactions have been
processed since the last meeting and I report that all bills are paid.
Art Fondriest made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report. Phil Wright seconded the
motion. Motion carried. The Treasurer’s Report accepted as read.

President’s report
It has been seen that MANCON employees are leaving early instead of staying incase
more parts are needed.
There needs to be more information or banners displayed around the district explaining
the adverse effects of Right to Work or Workplace Freedom. Phil said hw would check
into that.
Staff Report: No report.
State Board: no report
Unfinished Business
A discussion was held about flexing time for Team Up ODOT. Greg reported that flex
time cannot be used because it is a voluntary event. Only HT training can be considered
for flex time.
New Business
Management wants to hire HT3’s off the street to run projects. They are also considering
cutting or deleting comp time.
OCSEA made available a handout showing the projected reduced wages if Right to Work
is made into law.
Phil was asked to track down all fair share employees and encourage them to become full
members.
Bargaining Union members are encourages to have an additional amount of $1 or more
taken from their pay to support PEOPLE in their effort to support union friendly
candidates.
