Staff Report: Peggy Tanksley
Twin City Water employees received a new bargaining contract including working out of
class statements and I have been working with them through this process. A BU has been
working out of class because the two management members are out due to medical
reasons. Talks will be continued and the TUSC Chapter officers are encouraged to visit
the next meeting to show support and guidance. Their stewards need to be certified and
trained.
State Board: Doug Korba
Last bargaining update was emailed March 6th. Everyone is encouraged to visit the union
webpage to sign up for updates sent via email at oscea.org or ask your chapter officers.
Press releases about the two Department of Developmental Disabilities centers in Dayton
and Youngstown have been released. All BU Members need to show their support for our
brothers and sisters working in these institutions as well as those they help. Also
remember that they add to Union sponsored programs and PERS keeping them solvent
for all of us. Everyone is encouraged to go to ocsea.org and access the “Media” tab for
the complete story.
Minority conference in Sandusky. Registration forms available online.
