Digital Imaging Assignment
To make this picture I used Gimp 2.8. The tutorials taught me how to layer pictures. I
first started out with a simple background that I found on Google and I opened it on Gimp by
selecting “open with layers”. Next I uploaded my profile picture the same way I did my
background picture and I cropped it using the cropping tool. Then I added a text by selecting the
text box. There I was also able to change the font and the color. Lastly, I added my shapes by
going into Google and saving them and then opening them as layers. I played around with them
and moved them to the positions I wanted them to be in using the moving tool. This is the step
by step process I used on how to make my picture.
