1. What are the men/women doing? (Dancing, sitting, swimming, etc.) Singing and pretending
to live their life in a “Barbie” world by sitting poolside and running around outside
2. How are the men/women dressed? How much skin is revealed? Normal clothing, not much
skin is revealed in the video.
3. Are there more, fewer, or the same number of men as women? Same, the two main
characters in the video are a man and a woman.
4. Describe the body language of the men/women: are they sitting, standing, gyrating,
mugging, etc.? They are lying down and moving around outside during the majority of the music
video while pretending they are in a fantasy world. The body language is moderately clean and
not provocative at all; the real issue lays within the lyrics.
5. Do the men/women have power? How do you know? Men have power because the lyrics say,
“I'm a blond bimbo girl, in a fantasy world,
 Dress me up, make it tight, I'm your dolly.” Thus
meaning that men have power over the girl and she will do whatever he tells her to do.
6. What³s the message of the song? The video is of a girl living in a Barbie world and the video
portrays this as a perfect utopia. The lyrics say, “you can brush my hair, undress me everywhere”
saying a Barbie girl is not able to think for herself and has to have everything done for her and to
her.

Asking what is wrong with the world that we live in and there are clips of bad neighborhoods
that are poverty stricken.
5. What³s the message of the song? To find a peace within the world we live in because we are
at a point where we do not know peace and we need to find it for bad things to stop happening.

1. Describe any sexually explicit body language: A lot of women shaking their butts in very
little clothing. They are provocatively gesturing sexual motions and dancing very scandalously.
The video is very provocative where the singer Nicki Minaj is in a forest shaking her butt on a
tree stump.
2. Who is more sexualized • men or women? Both? Women
3. Are there sexually explicit lyrics or messages? The focus of the music video is butts. “My
anaconda” is referring to male private parts saying they do not want it unless you have a big butt
