Romodels Accomplishments
My accomplishments really date back when I graduated from high school. As the youngest of four,
you would think I had wonderful romodels guiding me throughout my life and making it easier for
me. However, that was not my case. I was actually one of 3 that graduated from high school from
my brothers and sisters, and the only one that got accepted to a university. I am now happy to be a jr.
at UTEP and be a ro–model from my nephews and nieces. I guess all those challenges really worked
in my favor. Starting UTEP back in August of 2010 was really a blessing. Attending college was a
dream, it felt like I was walking inside a movie; everything to good to be true and happy people who
wanted to study, and did not look forced to be there. Feeling ... Show more content on

Trained with some of the best ballet master from the Paris Opera Ballet and sweated up to 10 hrs per
day 5 days a week. Now I have transferred to UTEP so that I can graduate with my B.F.A. in dance
with the help and guidance of Lisa Smith, the chair of the department. My accomplishments have
not ended, they will not end when I graduate from UTEP, and they will not end 5 years from now. I
would like to dedicate my time educating myself and the rest of the world. Teach them they have
their own creativity and that they can learn how to develop it for their own benefit and to achieve

Summary Accomplishment
I have several notable accomplishments in both my education and my work experience. Probably
the most notable accomplishment is serving as Vice President of the SHRM chapter at Towson
University. I joined SHRM at Towson University this past semester. During our first meeting, it was
brought to attention that the executive board was going to graduate and positions needed to be filled.
I was immediately interested in becoming part of the board because I understand the value and
opportunities that come with holding a position. Throughout the semester I attended every meeting,
participated in fundraiser events, and attended information sessions on executive board roles and
responsibilities. I quickly determined that the VP role was personally,

Martin Luther 's Accomplishments And Accomplishments
Who is Martin Luther? Martin Luther was a young monk who is especially known for his 95 theses,
and rebellion against the Catholic teachings. This paper will list his varieties of accomplishments,
and his many hardships, most of which he overcame. Throughout his lifetime, he made many
enemies, but acquired quite a few friends. Martin Luther was born on November 10th, 1483 to Hans
and Margarethe Luther. He was born in Eisleben, Germany near the Hartz Mountains. He was born
in a common middle age house, high roof that was all red tile, windows made of a substance called
horn, or a translucent type of marble, and dirt floors. Even though Luther was born in Eisleben, he
was only raised there until he was six months old. When he was six months old his family moved to
Mansfeld, Germany. Here Luther's father became a successful miner. His father took Luther to
school while he was still very young. Martin lived in the village's lower half, and the school was
located in the upper part. This resulted in Luther's father carrying Luther to school every day, and
when his father didn't a young man carried him. This young man ended up marrying one of Luther's
sisters. The teachers in Luther's school were very strict. Once Luther got whipped fifteen times
because he didn't learn a lesson that was given to him. When Martin was fourteen he attended school
in Magdeburg, Germany. When he turned eighteen he got into the University of Erfurt. There he
studied to be a lawyer, because

Walt Disney 's Accomplishments And Accomplishments
Walt Disney was a pioneer of cartoon films based off of his creative animation and imaginative
characters. He is well–known for producing Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, the Seven Dwarfs, and
many other famous Disney characters. Walt Disney's childhood prepared him for the career he never
dreamed of having, which was a cartoonist. His greatest achievements lead to huge investments such
as Disneyland, Disneyworld, and other companies which hold his name to their title. His legacy
lives on today in America and throughout the world. This paper details Walt Disney's childhood, his
amazing achievements, and his legacy on animation and entertainment today. On December 5, 1901,
Walter Elias Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois. However, he lived most of his childhood in
Marceline, Missouri, where he began drawing, painting, and selling pictures of his work to his
family and friends. When Disney was a teenager, he attended McKinley High School in Chicago
where he took drawing and photography classes and was a cartoonist for his school newspaper. In
1919, Disney tried to start a career as a newspaper artist in Kansas City (Walt Disney Biography).
When he was in Kansas City, he met a cartoonist named Ub Iwerks. He began doing experiments
with a camera by doing hand–drawn cel animations, and then he ended up opening his own
animation business. Disney and his first employee Fred Harmen shot a series of cartoons called
Laugh–O–Grams. They began a series of fairy tales that combined live

My Accomplishment
Almost everyone is proud of themselves knowing they did an accomplishment. My achievement is
different from others, it is unusual than others. Different is good, right? To others, it is weird, but I
disagree, being different is my style. Yet here I am willing to share my accomplishment. Beginning
to think that being in these classes will be miserable because I did not know anyone at this point. It
was my first day at Tae Kwon Do or in other word karate. It was something different than being on a
soccer team or other sports. The instructor sent a higher rank, in other words, a black belt. He or she
taught my brother and I the first steps and movements to practice in order to get the hang of the
warm–ups. Eventually, time passed and we learned quickly, soon enough we were already learning
our white belt form. Each belt has a different form to practice with, the higher the belt rank you are,
the more advanced and difficult the form is. The position I was in was being a white belt, my goal
was to be a black belt. Thinking it was impossible, I proved myself I could. I remained there for 4
years, it normally takes two years to get the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is not that hard to memorize each form unless you practice daily. Another part of the black belt
testing is when you have to hold a push–up stance for exactly 5 minutes, you can not fidget or put
your knees down, if you do, the timer will be restarted. Testing day finally arrived, of course who
would not be nervous for something you always wanted since the first time you walked in that place.
It was my goal to get my black belt, and I was ready to whatever was heading my way during
testing. Doing everything in need to accomplish my goal. I received the news that I have passed the
test, and will be getting my black belt once the certificate printed and

Laquan's Accomplishments
In my work as a teacher, many of my most meaningful accomplishments come from the intangible
but incredibly satisfying feeling of instilling self–worth in my students. My students entered high
school branded as failures, and have often been taught that if they wait around long enough,
eventually they will be passed to the next grade or stage in life. One of my students, Laquan, was
preceded by his reputation. A bright student known as a somewhat chaotic classroom influence, our
time together had a rocky start. During the first week of class, I caught him handing out alcoholic
gummy bears to my first period class. This set the tone for a similarly difficult trimester, which he
ultimately did not pass.
When I saw that he had been registered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Laquan was still distractible and often danced and sang loudly in the back of the classroom. But
over time, he became more responsive to my redirection and began to actively participate in class.
As he realized that he understood his classwork, he became more and more confident, eventually
leading the class in a demonstration of balancing equations on the whiteboard. Regardless of what
other students in the class were doing, he stayed focused on his goal of passing the class and earning
his credit. During lunch and after school, he sat in the back of my room working diligently on his
assignments. On the last day of the trimester, I let him know that if he finished one final assignment
he would boost his grade to an 80. When he turned it in, he smiled at me and said, "Man, an 80!"
This young man's growth in the face of past failure remains my proudest accomplishment as a
teacher and as a person. I helped him go from sullen and reluctant to experience a feeling of
accomplishment as a result of his own hard work and persistence. I refused to allow him to cut
corners and pushed him to truly earn his credit in my class, and in doing so, helped him understand
the value and results of hard work, something that will carry over in every aspect of his

Raphael's Accomplishments
Raphael is now considered one of the three most outstanding artists of the Renaissance, with a
lifetime of beautiful artwork to show for it. From working with his initial master Perugino to
painting the The School of Athens, Raphael always worked to improve and further himself in his
skill and experience. After learning and studying from the two other most famous artists of the time,
he earned his place among the best. Raphael truly knew how to take the resources he had around
himself and learn from them, and that's why he always improved. He had an incredible life of
success, including creating seemingly countless beautiful pieces of art, working on more
commissions for the Pope than any other artist, and succeeding in "conquering" every ... Show more

Over his lifetime creating art, he produced many paintings, including his famous series of
Madonnas, many works of art in the Vatican, all in addition to his work as an architect (Finnan,
Vincent). His most famous works are his series of Madonnas and his large figure compositions in
the Palace of the Vatican (Biography.com Editors). These were works of art he put an incredibly
immense amount of work and skill into over the years, and it is an amazing amount of
accomplishments when he only lived 37 years. Although he was younger and started in the shadow
of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, he managed to become one of the most important artists of
the Renaissance (BBC – Raphael – A Mortal God). As stated by Finnan, Raphael's commissions
from Pope Julius II lead to great achievement for him; The pope commissioned him to do some of
his most famous works, including The School of Athens, Parnassus, and The Disputation of the
Sacrament, and after this he was appointed the post of chief architect for Saint Peters although he
had limited experiences. As has been shown many times over, Raphael proved himself to be
determined enough to make many different amazing accomplishments. Frescoes, paintings done so
that it is essentially built into the wall, were some of Raphael's greatest works (Raphael). These were
complicated to completed and made in cycles (BBC – Raphael – A Mortal God). The frescoes he
made were a great achievement because, being built into the wall, the Pope showed great respect for
Raphael. Pope Julius II commissioned more from Raphael than from any other artist (Raphael).
When Pope Julius II died and was replaced by Leo X the commissions didn't stop but rather became
more intensive (Finnan, Vincent). Raphael's experience with Julius II and Leo X did a lot of good
things for Raphael and his career, giving him a lot of experience, especially with fresco paintings.
Raphael became a very

Curley's Accomplishments
"Curley is needed at the longhouse, " shouted Curley's grandfather. Curley yawned as he was roused
from a deep slumber by the voice of his grandfather. He slowly removed himself from his cot and
reluctantly got dressed in fine clothing for the meeting. He quickly devoured a dish of bread and
cheese for breakfast and exited his lodge as he threw on his buffalo hide robe. The buffalo hide robe
was Curley's favorite belonging. The writing and pictures on it represented his accomplishments
throughout his life. Curley was a scout for the Apsaalooke (The Crow). He made regular ventures
out of the camp to spy on enemy territories. He had given the advantage to the Apsaalooke many
times against the Sioux. The meeting in the longhouse was long and excruciatingly ... Show more

skipping over them since he wouldn't do much good in there anyways. Curley sat on a small hand–
carved stool that his grandfather had made many years ago to think about the day's events. After a
while of collecting his thoughts, Curley stood up from his chair and walked over to a chest that
stored his rations of the food. He took out a fist sized piece of bread and milk that was stored in a
small clay jar. He spotted a small glass bottle in the lower right–hand corner of the chest. Curley
poured a small bit of milk into the tiny glass and took a sip of the slightly soured beverage. After a
few more gulps of milk, he ate a small bit of bread and then put the remainder of his lunch back into
the chest. Curley remembered that he was still wearing his buffalo hide robe. His buffalo hide robe
represented him in a way that nothing else could. It held recordings of his many feats and countless
successions at penetrating the Sioux's

Archimedes Accomplishments
Archimedes was a very mysterious person in which little is known about him. This is due to the fact
that most documents surrounding him were destroyed years ago. However, historians still have some
proof of who he was and what he did through writings from other people as well as his own. The
major articles or books that were used to find information in this paper include first, "Early Life
("Archimedes")" where details about his early life and death were described. Secondly,
"Archimedes(C.287–212 BC)" where information about his major accomplishments like the
cylinder theory was found. Then thirdly, the book "The Works of Archimedes" by Thomas L. Heath
was used as a major source to find more in–depth information about his principles and ... Show

First, Archimedes worked early on, on what "Archimedes considered his greatest achievement the
geometrical relation between the spheres and the cylinder" ("Early Life Archimedes"). The theory he
came up with in simple terms today states that a spheres volume and surface area is two–thirds of a
cylinder. It also states that the sphere is four times the area of a circle. Secondly, Archimedes came
up with his most famous principal "The Archimedes Principle". In which states "Any object
completely or partially submerged in a fluid is buoyed up by a force with a magnitude equivalent to
the weight of the fluid displaced by an object". ("Early Life Archimedes") This principle in simpler
terms simply means that any object that is submerged in fluid weight the same amount in the air.
Archimedes' third theory or finding had to do with the universe. Archimedes first used Aristotle
research of the universe's vastness and then he began experimenting on his own. "Archimedes
arrives at his conclusion: to fill space all the way out to the sphere of the stars requires one–thousand
trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion sand grains. In modern powers–of–ten notation, the requisite
number of sand grains would be written 1063" (Hirshfeld) The first part of the universal theorem for
Archimedes had to do with filling up the universe all the way out to the sphere of stars this then was
used when "Archimedes predicted that Earth's orbit does not exceed 10,000 diameters. This led to
the ending theory of the distance of stars: 10,00 Earth diameters = 10,000 earth diameters: 1 earth
diameter" (Hirshfeld). The theory in simpler terms was basically how that the diameter of the earth
does not exceed 10,000 diameters and that this, in turn, would be the measurement to the closest star

Montesquieu Accomplishments
Baron de Montesquieu ( mainly known as Montesquieu) was born around January 18, 1689 in La
Brède, France, and died around February 10, 1755 in Paris, France. He was a widely read
philosopher who believed that liberty was a natural right. Montesquieu's accomplishments include
introducing the idea of three different branches of government including making laws, enforcing
laws, and interpreting laws. Montesquieu's idea of the three branches of government contributed to
the US Constitution as the separation of powers. Montesquieu was a writer, political philosopher,
and a French lawyer.
Montesquieu's first hand family consisted of Jacques de Secondat ( the father), Marie Françoise de
Pesnel ( the mother). Montesquieu married Jane de Lartigue and had two daughters Marie–Josèphe–
Denise de Secondat, and Marie–Catherine de Secondat. Montesquieu's mother died when he was
seven, and his father was a soldier so his family did not impact his life that much. Montesquieu was

He mainly lived near Bordeaux, France his whole life.Montesquieu was shaped as an adult by
studying law during his early years. Through studying law Montesquieu discovered that he had no
enthusiasm towards law but rather the spirit behind law. By looking into this Montesquieu was able
to begin his life as a philosopher, by creating The Spirit of Law, which became a famous piece of
work. Viscount Bolingbroke helped as an acquaintance by showing Montesquieu his political ways
and views. Montesquieu would later reflect some of these political ideas while analysing the English
constitution.
What challenges did this person face? What was the outcome?
The main challenge that Montesquieu had to face was getting the idea across that a government
could become too powerful if not split into different branches. Eventually Montesquieu's idea about
the separation of power in government became part of the US

Morrissey Accomplishments
For my epic hero I chose Morrissey. He was the lead singer of the band The Smiths and has since
moved on to record over ten solo albums. He also has earned a name in the animal rights movement
and is a huge encourager for vegetarian eating. This is one of the things I consider to be his great
accomplishments. He uses his platform to show the inhumanity that occurs at slaughterhouses and
has partnered up with animal right groups, campaigning for spaying and neutering animals. This
theme is also prominent in his music where he sings of the brutality of bullfighting in "The
Bullfighter Dies". Another one of his great accomplishments is his music. He has created a lot of

learn to handle, saying he is currently "Blooming". He has also dealt with depression since the age
of seventeen. This apparently has been more difficult for him. He is still dealing with it and says it's
like a "Black dog" that never goes away. Morrissey can be described as larger than life. He has done
interviews with Larry King and has sold out multiple concerts. He once again has created over ten

children born to the multimillionaire Joseph P. Kennedy, and his wife, Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy. In
school, one of his teachers said that people liked him more for his personality rather than his
accomplishments. As a child he was often ill and spent most of his time reading. John attended
college at Princeton for a short time and then enrolled at Harvard University where he majored in
government and international relations. After he graduated from Harvard in 1940, he attended
Stanford University for graduate studies. In April of 1941 he tried to enlist in the U.S. Army, but was
rejected due to physical reasons. After he was strong again he was accepted to be in the U.S. Navy.
He later became an intelligence officer in Washington D.C. and was later requested at sea in 1942
when the U.S. joined World War II. In March of 1943 he was given command of a patrol torpedo
boat armed with many weapons. A few months later his boat was sliced in half by a Japanese
destroyer and two of his crew were killed. him and six others held on to the other half of the boat
that remained afloat. There were 6 other survivors in the nearby water. In a three hour struggle he
managed to get his men to the floating wreck. Once it capsized, he ordered his men to swim to a

Keep trying because perseverance is the key to success there will always be a time when you doubt
or start to lose confidence, but that's when perseverance shows and you keep going.
An accomplishment or achievement is not easy it might not come to you the 1st time or the 20th
time, but that should not be a key to the door of submission; keep trying when it seems most
impossible or hopeless because the hopeless moments are the ones that count the most and show
your true strength and just not giving up in those hopeless moments are the true accomplishments
because if you can do that congratulations you have surpassed the average person that gives up and
is too lazy to persevere. That's what this quote means to

Successful Accomplishments
A goal that I was not able to accomplish was getting first place in a body fat competition with my
friends. I unfortunately got second place. I was not successful because I did not work hard enough to
lose the extra body fat. I lost only lost the competition by a few tenths of a percent. At first I was
very upset with myself for losing, but thankfully I got over it very quickly. Today I view this as a
learning experience to try harder.
A goal that I did accomplish was recovering from a herniated disk injury. I actually didn't go to the
gym and did not do much physical work for almost a month and a half. I find this as a huge
accomplishment because at first I thought, I was going to re–injure myself because I am such an
active person, sometimes

My Accomplishments
Accomplishments often mark a new step in an area of your life. Whether it may be in your
education, childhood, and more. One event that helped my transition from child to young adult was
when I promoted the eighth grade. It was a formal promotion in which I got to dress up and accept a
piece of paper that said I was entering high school. This accomplishment stands out for me because
it symbolized that I was no longer a little girl. My school promotion was very exciting and a
moment of pure joy. I remember all my family from Colorado coming to California to watch me
enter into high school and to see my sister graduate high school the next day. That day I sung with
my choir class as I went an arts academy. At first, I was unsure how high school

Softball Accomplishment
When I think about an event or accomplishment that marked a significant transitional period in my
life, I'm taken back to the days of home runs, strikes, and double plays. Yes, I'm referring to good
old fashion softball. Playing the game for over 9 years, starting back with Tball in kindergarton,
really helped me develop a love and respect for the sport, but it wasn't until I started travel softball
in 6th grade that I really grew to appreciate all that it taught me. Once I began travel softball it
required a whole new level of commitment. Early morning practices and weekend tournaments left
little room for slacking off. Softball is a culture within itself comprised of a very niche community
of individuals that work hard and continually strive to learn, grow, and evolve. Playing for both a
local team and travel team really helped me to establish a sense of community among my peers and
teammates. Playing a sport all throughout my adolescence really instilled a sense of pride and
accomplishment. It taught me dedication, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If I didn't get to bat, I learned it was equally important to cheer on my team. If I was placed in the
outfield, I was just as eager and ready to make a big play. I learned at an early age the importance of
unity and being a team a player. Win or lose we all worked together in order to overcome challenges
and strive for success. Because of my positive attitude and devotion to boosting team morale I ended
up winning the Best Sportsmanship Award during one of our last games at state sectionals,
something I'm extremely proud of. I have since had to take a leave of absence from softball due to a
serious knee injury, but I continue to put forth the same amount of perseverance and allegiance

Leadership Accomplishment
"A leader is a dealer in hope." Napoleon Bonaparte's words rang true to me as I made the decision to
become a camp counselor during the summer of 2016. What initially was an opportunity to gain
close friends and catch a few rays of sun swiftly became my greatest leadership accomplishment: I
was able to provide hope and encouragement to 181 precious girls between the ages of 7 and 12. As
with any relationship, deepening the connection with each of my campers took time. To achieve this,
I led a small group each morning in which we discussed everything from Disney princesses to
difficult friends. Eating with my campers became something I regularly enjoyed, and praying with
each individual girl before bed established their trust in me. Beyond

Montesquieu was

studying law during his early years.

New Enterprise Team Assignment
During my journey of coaching, my first accomplishment is the NETA. When I began the NETA, I
only knew one of my group members and even then, we were not as close. I was worried as the
assignment needed to be detailed and there were many parts that were required for completion. A
problem that I have is teamwork and relying on others to complete their parts. In this group, it was a
new experience for me as all group members were active, helpful and driven. In my defence, I am
used to being paired with students in high school that do not care and tend to rely on me. Anyways,
this was an opportunity for me to improve my teamwork skills and implement my coaching skills.
One way of implementing my coaching skills was through the help that I offered the team. Since I
was responsible for research development and finances, my group members needed my advice and
help on the figures, details and anything regarding supply. Another way of implementing my ...

Some days were the best, others not so much. University was an experience that I was not prepared

effectiveness of teamwork, especially those with the same end–result as you. Also, the most
important influence that Schulich has brought to my life is that love for business that I started
lacking over the past couple of years.
MGMT 1000 was my first class of university and I could not have asked for a better course. The
curriculum at Schulich is very hands–on and offers students opportunities to develop as leaders than
live as machines. In the case of this assignment, the fact that they offer students a way to better
themselves is remarkable. It is a lifestyle that Schulich implements within each student to thrive for
greatness, adapt to the forever–changing business environments and building a well–rounded

Hatshepsut's Accomplishments
For over 22 years, the most powerful man in all of ancient Egypt was, in fact, a woman. That
woman was Pharaoh Hatshepsut, one of the first female pharaohs in Egypt's long history. During her
reign she built great monuments both in Egypt and Nubia. Egypt also thrived while she ruled,
proving that she was a strong and powerful leader even though she was a woman instead of a man.
Hatshepsut was an amazing woman who had some incredible accomplishments.
Rising to Power
One of Hatshepsut's greatest accomplishments was simply becoming pharaoh as a woman. Since her
birth, Hatshepsut had always had some power. Her parents were Thutmose I and his main wife,

Lacrosse Accomplishment
One accomplishment I have achieved is making the A team for the united lacrosse travel team. This
an important accomplishment because it can help me with academics greatly and can give me
options in the future if i decide to keep playing. Another reason why this is an important
accomplishment is because lacrosse strengthens my speed, athleticism and coordination. Lacrosse is
also my favorite sport to play because I love the physicality of the sport and love evading or running
away from players. Lacrosse is important to me because I love playing it and it can help me be more
successful in my future
My head coach on my travel team told me he has only seen 2 player with major potential in his

Accomplishments Of Abraham Lincoln 's Accomplishments
ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN On February 12, 1809 our sixteenth president
of the United States, was born in Hardin County, Kentucky, He was the son of Thomas Lincoln and
Nancy Hanks, farmers. Thomas Lincoln had come to Kentucky from Virginia with his father
Abraham in 1782. He learned only enough literacy to sign his name but gained modest prosperity as
a carpenter and farmer on the Kentucky frontier. Thomas Lincoln married Nancy Hanks, whom also
illiterate, in 1806. Abraham was born in a log cabin three miles south of Hodgenville. When he was
only two years old the family moved to another farm on Knob Creek about seven miles northeast of
Hodgenville. Abraham lived for five years on this farm of two hundred and thirty acres. Abraham
Lincoln helped his parents with house work and Abraham actually learned his ABCs by attending
school for a few weeks with his older sister Sarah. Abraham Lincoln would grow up to become a
man who would accomplish many great things in life. Despite his meager beginnings he would
change the lives of many people to this very day and his legacy and accomplishments will forever
be remembered. From humble beginnings to achieve the highest office in the United States. During
the time of Abraham Lincoln 's presidency, the country was divided into north and south regions.

Cognitive Enhancement, Cheating, and Accomplishment
ABSTRACT. An ethics of enhancement should not rest on blanket judgments; it should ask us to
distinguish between the kinds of activities we want to enhance. Both students and academics have
turned to cognition–enhancing drugs in significant numbers–but is their enhancement a form of
cheating? The answer should hinge on whether the activity subject to enhancement is zero–sum or
non–zero–sum, and whether one is more concerned with excellence in process or excellence in
outcome. Cognitive enhancement should be especially tolerated when the activities at stake are non–
zero–sum and when the importance of process ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I argue that the use of CEDs is especially beneficial, and should be especially tolerated, when the
activities at stake are non–zero–sum and when the importance of process is outweighed by the
importance of outcome. Finally, I criticize the claim that CEDs unnaturally cheapen human
accomplishments; instead, I consider their use to be in line with well–established conceptions of
collaborative authorship, which shift the locus of praise and blame from individual creators to the
ultimate products of their efforts.
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE OF COgNITION–ENHANCINg DRUgS
Among the most common CEDs are modafinil, methylphenidate, and dextroamphetamine, which

Ritalin, and Adderall, respectively. Although originally developed to treat diagnosed conditions
ranging from narcolepsy to attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, their off–label use has been
reported to increase users' recall, attention span, and ability to focus on cognitive tasks; in addition,
modafinil has been shown to increase wakefulness (Butcher 2003; greely et al. 2008). Some CEDs
also seem to enhance users' "executive function," or problem–solving ability (Mehlman 2004, p.

cognitive decline in the elderly is likely to contribute, intentionally or not, to the further

Tulsa tech has taught me the on the job skills needed to become a good nurse. They have taught me

In his recent book "The Churchill Factor", Boris Johnson comments on the impact of the life of

parents mostly worked upwards of 12 hours a day, while I raised my then four year–old sister. A few

nervousness levels in students is vital for making a difference to expand scholarly accomplishment.
Students of all scholastic accomplishment levels experience the ill effects of scholarly nervousness.

Beowulf's Accomplishments
In the epic poem Beowulf, originally told by Anglo–Saxons, the character Beowulf attempts to
achieve eternal life through fame and glory. The ideology that fame and glory are the only ways to
reach eternal life is present throughout the epic. The pagan Germans, Greeks and other ancient
people believed that the only thing that would survive a human death would be a person's name and
how others talked about it. Beowulf's reputation was very important to him. He made many
dauntless feats to bring his name to fame and succeeded. He wanted to be remembered for his great
past accomplishments, winning battles that he knew he could die in, and being a loved and fearless
leader. At the end of the epic, Beowulf's name lives on after his death and therefore ... Show more

If a warrior did not win the battle , there was great honor associated with dying in battle. Beowulf
was very aware of this when he asked to fight Grendel. Once has defeated Grendel in a formidable
battle, Grendel ran from the mead hall to return to his den to die. All that was left from the battle
was Grendel's detached limb. Beowulf hung the monster's arm from the rafters of the mead hall to
show that he had, indeed, freed the people of Herot from the reign of Grendel's terror. Beowulf's
name is spread throughout the land as people from all over "mounted their hard–hooved horses,
high–spirited stallions, and rode them slowly to Herot again, retelling of Beowulf's bravery as they
jogged along." (535–538). People from all around come to the mead hall to see this arm and hear the
tale of the fearless Beowulf that rid Herot of the evil Grendel. His name spread from Geatland and
Herot to other kingdoms. As Beowulf did more daring and selfless acts, the bigger his name

Failures And Accomplishments
My English Failures and Accomplishments My last English class was English 2. English has never
been the easiest subject for me. Through much trial and error I have overcome some things, yet fail
to overcome others. While I am strong in being able to correct the mistakes I make in my writing, I
need to strengthen my abilities in setting up my essay and finally overcome the difficulty I have with
my reading comprehension skills. Understanding a topic or passage that I will have to write about
later is a key component of being a good writer. When I read a passage and do not comprehend its
actual meaning, it can make writing about it very difficult. Last year, I took English 2 and it was the
year we had to take the state English test and write about a prompt. To prepare for the test, our

we stayed on topic throughout the paper. I was not fortunate enough to have a teacher that would

before the test was when she started getting frustrated with us because we were not writing on the
level that we should have been on. I was dumbfounded as to why she was getting angry with us

He lived his life to the fullest and leaves a legacy for millions to appreciate. When I started to read

Although I have not had the chance to give as much as Hart did, I try to give as much as possible.
Each Spring break I go on a small mission trip with my school. For the past three years we have
gone to Tampa Florida and worked at Mary Help of Christians. This year, Mary Help of Christians
opened up a Cristo Rey school. Cristo Rey is a schooling system that underprivileged high school
students attend, they work for businesses earning money and business skills for half of the week,
and are in the classroom for the rest of the week. This trip has opened my eyes and showed me how
easy volunteering can be. I only spent three weeks of my own time, but because of this, hundreds of
underprivileged kids will get to live a better life and get the chance to succeed. Volunteering has not
only made the lives of people around me better, but it has also immensely changed me. By learning
about the importance of public service at a young age I am better equipped to do bigger and better
things later in my life just as Senator Hart did. I am extremely blessed to be where I am in life and I
feel that the Philip A. Hart Memorial Scholarship will be the catalyst in furthering my education and

Romodels Accomplishments

  • 1. Romodels Accomplishments My accomplishments really date back when I graduated from high school. As the youngest of four, you would think I had wonderful romodels guiding me throughout my life and making it easier for me. However, that was not my case. I was actually one of 3 that graduated from high school from my brothers and sisters, and the only one that got accepted to a university. I am now happy to be a jr. at UTEP and be a ro–model from my nephews and nieces. I guess all those challenges really worked in my favor. Starting UTEP back in August of 2010 was really a blessing. Attending college was a dream, it felt like I was walking inside a movie; everything to good to be true and happy people who wanted to study, and did not look forced to be there. Feeling ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Visited a total 7 countries, including: France, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Mexico and Belgium. Trained with some of the best ballet master from the Paris Opera Ballet and sweated up to 10 hrs per day 5 days a week. Now I have transferred to UTEP so that I can graduate with my B.F.A. in dance with the help and guidance of Lisa Smith, the chair of the department. My accomplishments have not ended, they will not end when I graduate from UTEP, and they will not end 5 years from now. I would like to dedicate my time educating myself and the rest of the world. Teach them they have their own creativity and that they can learn how to develop it for their own benefit and to achieve their accomplishments just like I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. Summary Accomplishment I have several notable accomplishments in both my education and my work experience. Probably the most notable accomplishment is serving as Vice President of the SHRM chapter at Towson University. I joined SHRM at Towson University this past semester. During our first meeting, it was brought to attention that the executive board was going to graduate and positions needed to be filled. I was immediately interested in becoming part of the board because I understand the value and opportunities that come with holding a position. Throughout the semester I attended every meeting, participated in fundraiser events, and attended information sessions on executive board roles and responsibilities. I quickly determined that the VP role was personally, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Martin Luther 's Accomplishments And Accomplishments Who is Martin Luther? Martin Luther was a young monk who is especially known for his 95 theses, and rebellion against the Catholic teachings. This paper will list his varieties of accomplishments, and his many hardships, most of which he overcame. Throughout his lifetime, he made many enemies, but acquired quite a few friends. Martin Luther was born on November 10th, 1483 to Hans and Margarethe Luther. He was born in Eisleben, Germany near the Hartz Mountains. He was born in a common middle age house, high roof that was all red tile, windows made of a substance called horn, or a translucent type of marble, and dirt floors. Even though Luther was born in Eisleben, he was only raised there until he was six months old. When he was six months old his family moved to Mansfeld, Germany. Here Luther's father became a successful miner. His father took Luther to school while he was still very young. Martin lived in the village's lower half, and the school was located in the upper part. This resulted in Luther's father carrying Luther to school every day, and when his father didn't a young man carried him. This young man ended up marrying one of Luther's sisters. The teachers in Luther's school were very strict. Once Luther got whipped fifteen times because he didn't learn a lesson that was given to him. When Martin was fourteen he attended school in Magdeburg, Germany. When he turned eighteen he got into the University of Erfurt. There he studied to be a lawyer, because ... He is well–known for producing Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, the Seven Dwarfs, and many other famous Disney characters. Walt Disney's childhood prepared him for the career he never dreamed of having, which was a cartoonist. His greatest achievements lead to huge investments such as Disneyland, Disneyworld, and other companies which hold his name to their title. His legacy lives on today in America and throughout the world. This paper details Walt Disney's childhood, his amazing achievements, and his legacy on animation and entertainment today. On December 5, 1901, Walter Elias Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois. However, he lived most of his childhood in Marceline, Missouri, where he began drawing, painting, and selling pictures of his work to his family and friends. When Disney was a teenager, he attended McKinley High School in Chicago where he took drawing and photography classes and was a cartoonist for his school newspaper. In 1919, Disney tried to start a career as a newspaper artist in Kansas City (Walt Disney Biography). When he was in Kansas City, he met a cartoonist named Ub Iwerks. • 9. My Accomplishment Almost everyone is proud of themselves knowing they did an accomplishment. My achievement is different from others, it is unusual than others. Different is good, right? To others, it is weird, but I disagree, being different is my style. Yet here I am willing to share my accomplishment. Beginning to think that being in these classes will be miserable because I did not know anyone at this point. It was my first day at Tae Kwon Do or in other word karate. It was something different than being on a soccer team or other sports. The instructor sent a higher rank, in other words, a black belt. He or she taught my brother and I the first steps and movements to practice in order to get the hang of the warm–ups. Eventually, time passed and we learned quickly, soon enough we were already learning our white belt form. Each belt has a different form to practice with, the higher the belt rank you are, the more advanced and difficult the form is. The position I was in was being a white belt, my goal was to be a black belt. Thinking it was impossible, I proved myself I could. I remained there for 4 years, it normally takes two years to get the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is not that hard to memorize each form unless you practice daily. Testing day finally arrived, of course who would not be nervous for something you always wanted since the first time you walked in that place. It was my goal to get my black belt, and I was ready to whatever was heading my way during testing. Doing everything in need to accomplish my goal. • 11. Laquan's Accomplishments In my work as a teacher, many of my most meaningful accomplishments come from the intangible but incredibly satisfying feeling of instilling self–worth in my students. My students entered high school branded as failures, and have often been taught that if they wait around long enough, eventually they will be passed to the next grade or stage in life. One of my students, Laquan, was preceded by his reputation. A bright student known as a somewhat chaotic classroom influence, our time together had a rocky start. During the first week of class, I caught him handing out alcoholic gummy bears to my first period class. This set the tone for a similarly difficult trimester, which he ultimately did not pass. When I saw that he had been registered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Laquan was still distractible and often danced and sang loudly in the back of the classroom. But over time, he became more responsive to my redirection and began to actively participate in class. As he realized that he understood his classwork, he became more and more confident, eventually leading the class in a demonstration of balancing equations on the whiteboard. Regardless of what other students in the class were doing, he stayed focused on his goal of passing the class and earning his credit. During lunch and after school, he sat in the back of my room working diligently on his assignments. On the last day of the trimester, I let him know that if he finished one final assignment he would boost his grade to an 80. When he turned it in, he smiled at me and said, "Man, an 80!" This young man's growth in the face of past failure remains my proudest accomplishment as a teacher and as a person. I helped him go from sullen and reluctant to experience a feeling of accomplishment as a result of his own hard work and persistence. I refused to allow him to cut corners and pushed him to truly earn his credit in my class, and in doing so, helped him understand the value and results of hard work, something that will carry over in every aspect of his ... • 13. Raphael's Accomplishments Raphael is now considered one of the three most outstanding artists of the Renaissance, with a lifetime of beautiful artwork to show for it. From working with his initial master Perugino to painting the The School of Athens, Raphael always worked to improve and further himself in his skill and experience. After learning and studying from the two other most famous artists of the time, he earned his place among the best. Raphael truly knew how to take the resources he had around himself and learn from them, and that's why he always improved. He had an incredible life of success, including creating seemingly countless beautiful pieces of art, working on more commissions for the Pope than any other artist, and succeeding in "conquering" every ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Over his lifetime creating art, he produced many paintings, including his famous series of Madonnas, many works of art in the Vatican, all in addition to his work as an architect (Finnan, Vincent). His most famous works are his series of Madonnas and his large figure compositions in the Palace of the Vatican (Biography.com Editors). These were works of art he put an incredibly immense amount of work and skill into over the years, and it is an amazing amount of accomplishments when he only lived 37 years. Although he was younger and started in the shadow of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, he managed to become one of the most important artists of the Renaissance (BBC – Raphael – A Mortal God). As stated by Finnan, Raphael's commissions from Pope Julius II lead to great achievement for him; The pope commissioned him to do some of his most famous works, including The School of Athens, Parnassus, and The Disputation of the Sacrament, and after this he was appointed the post of chief architect for Saint Peters although he had limited experiences. As has been shown many times over, Raphael proved himself to be determined enough to make many different amazing accomplishments. Frescoes, paintings done so that it is essentially built into the wall, were some of Raphael's greatest works (Raphael). These were complicated to completed and made in cycles (BBC – Raphael – A Mortal God). The frescoes he made were a great achievement because, being built into the wall, the Pope showed great respect for Raphael. Pope Julius II commissioned more from Raphael than from any other artist (Raphael). When Pope Julius II died and was replaced by Leo X the commissions didn't stop but rather became more intensive (Finnan, Vincent). Raphael's experience with Julius II and Leo X did a lot of good things for Raphael and his career, giving him a lot of experience, especially with fresco paintings. Raphael became a very ... • 15. Curley's Accomplishments "Curley is needed at the longhouse, " shouted Curley's grandfather. Curley yawned as he was roused from a deep slumber by the voice of his grandfather. He slowly removed himself from his cot and reluctantly got dressed in fine clothing for the meeting. He quickly devoured a dish of bread and cheese for breakfast and exited his lodge as he threw on his buffalo hide robe. The buffalo hide robe was Curley's favorite belonging. The writing and pictures on it represented his accomplishments throughout his life. Curley was a scout for the Apsaalooke (The Crow). He made regular ventures out of the camp to spy on enemy territories. He had given the advantage to the Apsaalooke many times against the Sioux. So he took the liberty of skipping over them since he wouldn't do much good in there anyways. Curley sat on a small hand– carved stool that his grandfather had made many years ago to think about the day's events. After a while of collecting his thoughts, Curley stood up from his chair and walked over to a chest that stored his rations of the food. He took out a fist sized piece of bread and milk that was stored in a small clay jar. He spotted a small glass bottle in the lower right–hand corner of the chest. Curley poured a small bit of milk into the tiny glass and took a sip of the slightly soured beverage. After a few more gulps of milk, he ate a small bit of bread and then put the remainder of his lunch back into the chest. Curley remembered that he was still wearing his buffalo hide robe. • 19. Archimedes Accomplishments Archimedes was a very mysterious person in which little is known about him. This is due to the fact that most documents surrounding him were destroyed years ago. However, historians still have some proof of who he was and what he did through writings from other people as well as his own. The major articles or books that were used to find information in this paper include first, "Early Life ("Archimedes")" where details about his early life and death were described. Secondly, "Archimedes(C.287–212 BC)" where information about his major accomplishments like the cylinder theory was found. Then thirdly, the book "The Works of Archimedes" by Thomas L. First, Archimedes worked early on, on what "Archimedes considered his greatest achievement the geometrical relation between the spheres and the cylinder" ("Early Life Archimedes"). The theory he came up with in simple terms today states that a spheres volume and surface area is two–thirds of a cylinder. It also states that the sphere is four times the area of a circle. Secondly, Archimedes came up with his most famous principal "The Archimedes Principle". In which states "Any object completely or partially submerged in a fluid is buoyed up by a force with a magnitude equivalent to the weight of the fluid displaced by an object". ("Early Life Archimedes") This principle in simpler terms simply means that any object that is submerged in fluid weight the same amount in the air. Archimedes' third theory or finding had to do with the universe. Archimedes first used Aristotle research of the universe's vastness and then he began experimenting on his own. "Archimedes arrives at his conclusion: to fill space all the way out to the sphere of the stars requires one–thousand trillion trillion trillion trillion trillion sand grains. In modern powers–of–ten notation, the requisite number of sand grains would be written 1063" (Hirshfeld) The first part of the universal theorem for Archimedes had to do with filling up the universe all the way out to the sphere of stars this then was used when "Archimedes predicted that Earth's orbit does not exceed 10,000 diameters. This led to the ending theory of the distance of stars: 10,00 Earth diameters = 10,000 earth diameters: 1 earth diameter" (Hirshfeld). The theory in simpler terms was basically how that the diameter of the earth does not exceed 10,000 diameters and that this, in turn, would be the measurement to the closest star to ... He was a widely read philosopher who believed that liberty was a natural right. Montesquieu's accomplishments include introducing the idea of three different branches of government including making laws, enforcing laws, and interpreting laws. Montesquieu's idea of the three branches of government contributed to the US Constitution as the separation of powers. Montesquieu was a writer, political philosopher, and a French lawyer. Montesquieu's first hand family consisted of Jacques de Secondat ( the father), Marie Françoise de Pesnel ( the mother). Montesquieu married Jane de Lartigue and had two daughters Marie–Josèphe– Denise de Secondat, and Marie–Catherine de Secondat. Viscount Bolingbroke helped as an acquaintance by showing Montesquieu his political ways and views. Montesquieu would later reflect some of these political ideas while analysing the English constitution. What challenges did this person face? What was the outcome? He also has earned a name in the animal rights movement and is a huge encourager for vegetarian eating. This is one of the things I consider to be his great accomplishments. He uses his platform to show the inhumanity that occurs at slaughterhouses and has partnered up with animal right groups, campaigning for spaying and neutering animals. This theme is also prominent in his music where he sings of the brutality of bullfighting in "The Bullfighter Dies". Another one of his great accomplishments is his music. He has also dealt with depression since the age of seventeen. This apparently has been more difficult for him. He is still dealing with it and says it's like a "Black dog" that never goes away. Morrissey can be described as larger than life. He has done interviews with Larry King and has sold out multiple concerts. He once again has created over ten successful album, had a well known band and created many great songs. NME considered him to be one of the most influential artists ever. After he graduated from Harvard in 1940, he attended Stanford University for graduate studies. In April of 1941 he tried to enlist in the U.S. Army, but was rejected due to physical reasons. After he was strong again he was accepted to be in the U.S. Navy. He later became an intelligence officer in Washington D.C. and was later requested at sea in 1942 when the U.S. joined World War II. In March of 1943 he was given command of a patrol torpedo boat armed with many weapons. A few months later his boat was sliced in half by a Japanese destroyer and two of his crew were killed. him and six others held on to the other half of the boat that remained afloat.
