3. IMAGES
Between the two magazines you can see a vast
different from the images to the text. The
medium close up in the school magazine isn't at
the quality of the music magazine and even the
background of the school magazine lowers the
quality leading it to look less professional.
Also the editing of the music magazine looks
chic and by just applying a black filter allows the
magazine to become professional and create a
certain atmosphere for the readers.
4. PHOTOSHOP
Originally when creating the school magazine
my skills in photo shop were limited however
over time I was able to learn specific skills to
build the quality of my magazine. From editing
the images to the different types of text on all
three pages. I found that by changing little
features it improved the overall image
significantly for example the logos within the
front page fit the whole image as they have
been edited by changing the colour and design.
5. TARGET MARKET
Overall the audience for both magazines are
different leading the content within the
magazines to be completely different from
the language to the layout. Another factor to
consider would be that the school magazines
demands from consumers would be
completely different as schools would be
mainly be informing parents of updates and
changes whereas Bebop the music magazine
would be different as they are trying to sell to
6. LANGUAGE
Also throughout all my research which I carried out I
learnt about how significant the language is which is
used in the magazine. For example in the music
magazine I used words such as ‘exclusive’ whereas
the language used on the school magazine was
more simplistic. Also the fact that school students
may wish to read the magazine as well means that
the language within the magazine on the double
page spreads would also be simple however the
music magazine can be more complex. This is all
7. COLOUR SCHEME
Between the two magazines they are vastly
different as my original magazine which was
the school magazine was basic and there was
no colour scheme applied which lowered the
quality leading it to look quite cheap and
unprofessional. Whereas on the music
magazine I applied a black and white filter to
the front cover which also linked with the
genre as R&B and grime looks quite dark and
mysterious.
