1926
On 11th May.

They regularly met in a pub called the
Eagle and Child in Oxford. They were par
of a group of writers called the Inklings
who meet every Tuesday morning.
6. Lewis converted to Christianity in
1931, following a late night talk with
his friends JJR Tolkien and Hugo
Dyson.
He records making a specific
commitment to Christian belief while
on his way to the zoo with his brother.
He became a member of the Church of
England – somewhat to the
disappointment of Tolkien, who had
hoped that he would join the Catholic
Church.

and went to hospital.
The next day he suffered a heart attack
at 5pm and went into a coma. He woke
up the next day at 2pm.
He was released from hospital but his
health continued to decline until he
was diagnosed with renal failure.
On the 22nd of November 1963 He
collapsed at home and died a few
minutes later. This was exactly one
week before his 65th birthday.
8. He is buried in Headington Oxford
near Warrie his brother in Holy
Trinity Church.
His legacy remains and people can
watch and read the books of Narnia
and visit his grave in Oxford.
