The Brit Awards have been held annually since 1977, originally at Earl's Court and now at the O2 Arena in London. The statue given to winners was originally always gold but now a different artist designs it each year. Famous hosts over the decades include James Corden and Chris Evans, while controversial ones were Sam Fox and Russell Brand. Robbie Williams has won the most Brit Awards with 15 total. A Critics' Choice Award is also given to honor new up-and-coming artists. Each year after the ceremony, a compilation album of that year's biggest songs is released.

between the years of 1977-2010.
After moving to the 02 Arena, every year a different

this has included Damien Hirste and Tracy Emmy.

Goulding, Emeli Sande, Jessie J, Tom Odelle, Sam Smith and
Jake Bare have won the award at the Brits nominations awards

7. Brits Awards album
After each Brits Awards ceremony in February, the British
Phonomonic Company issue a Brits Cd containing 60 of the
year’s greatest pop and rock classics onto one cd.
In recent years, the cd has included winners and past winners
and success over the year including One Direction, Emeli
Sande and Robbie Williams. The Cd can be pre-order on
Amazon or people can buy it in the shops.
