1. Question 6- what have you learnt about technologies?
This was the overall result on my front cover and the finished product. The document was created
on Photoshop. Before creating this for my magazine cover I had never used Photoshop before,
therefore it was completely new experience. My front cover was probably the only document I had
difficulties to settle with and overcome the problems. This resulted in me having to finish the front
cover overtime, as the deadline I was given was not met. Not everything went smoothly, therefore I
shall discuss the difficulties I went through during the making of my front cover and how I overcame
them.
This was the original picture for my front cover; I decide to
give my magazine a blank white background. This is because I
felt that this way; the main image would stand out along with
the cover lines. In order to get rid of all the bushes and trees
in the background, I had to use the quick selection tool this
allowed me to select the background and delete it. However

how to use the polygon lasso tool, which allowed me to select the background around the foot area,
so the background would disappear.

3. InDesign is the software I used to create my doublepage spread. Before creating my doublepage
spread I did not know how to use InDesign, however I found it was quite easy to use and get used to
the features.
First I had to insert the picture. To
this, it was the same process as
inserting an image on Photoshop,
click on file then place, and then this
box appeared which allowed me to
select the image I wanted

4. Once I had inserted the picture I had to insert the text using the text tool on the side bar
.
This is the text tool, by clicking this, it allowed me to copy and paste the text
however when it came up on the screen, it was in a box and not in columns. When I
was inserting the columns, I had to teach myself how to insert columns as I did it in
my own time, I was having difficulty understanding and I went online and found a
step by step guide which was a success.
